I'm disappointed as much as everyone else that their is no Master League or Cups available, but squeezing the worlds greatest football game onto the PSP is quite an achievement. The gameplay is awesome too. My only complaint is the slowdown when taking set-pieces into a crowded area, but you can't have it all.

Well, the biggest disappointment is the referees. Constanly whistling for fouls on the opposition, making tackling a total nightmare, and making every game constantly stop-start. I don't agree that's realistic- it's over-fussy and makes the game much less enjoyable.

And when the same thing happens to you- nothing. I've been hacked down, barged off the ball, and play continues happily. They should have at least had a setting for referee strictness. At times it's totally ridiculous.

Apart from that, I would have liked the option to get rid of cut-scenes. I don't need to sit and wait for a "substitute cut scene" to load. I just want to get on with the game.

And it would have been nice to have cup competitions in there. And the Master League.

Having said that, this is still the best handheld football game around. And there's much more to like about it than dislike.

I love the PC Version, the PS2 version and this version. You can still do some good moves and nice passing like on the main consoles. I agree about loading times but if you have firmware 1.5 you can download it to a memory stick and everything is instant. Controls take a bit of getting used to. I only have small hands and its a bit of a squeeze. May look at one of those controller thingies but it rather defeats the portability of the PSP

Some people have mentioned in this thread about the referees being biased.... Isn't that like in real life then?
I know what you mean but the ref is biased against you in nearly every game on pro evo, unlike in real life.

Another gripe: your players can be found in the most ridiculous offside positions. I know in real life that some players get caught offside more than others, but here it's every ball, and at times is a stupid length further than the last man.

But, you've got to say that this game still has that "Just one more match" syndrome about it. I've spent hour upon hour on thisw game even though I have so many gripes with it.

I've not experienced that about shooting and passing, but I agree that loading times are ludicrously long. Madden NFL got slated in reviews for having slow loading times, yet it's a hell of a lot faster than FIFA.

Loading is especially slow in wireless matches.

I've got to say I'm dissappointed too. The loading times are horrendous: so bad you think it's crashed. Passing is bad, but the worst thing is when you tell a player to shoot or pass, but then he doesn't receive until a few seconds for some reason. But when he receives the ball he still does the shot or pass you wanted him to do before the delay!
