Out of all the WWII games i played this is by far the worst. In the manual it talks about soldiers biographis. Legget: it says hes always talking about how things should end peacefully and nice like in fairytails, he never says anything. Bakers tank crew friend: it hardly shows a history between them. Some one thats sketching: I forget what his name is, but his bio says that he is always sketching what he see's. First thing you see of him, hes on the floor bleeding to death! Those two buddies: they die two early to say that they're gay...I mean never seen apart. Anyway they suck at aim too. You'll have to wait for days until they kill everyone. You die too easily. Your guys dont take cover, especially in front of machine gun fire. Im glad they want to make a realistic game, but its not the best idea!

I agree with 1111 that this gameis good that it is realistic, but you die quickly or you have trouble with the machine guns, or your guys die very easliy that you are are your own.

I agree with Tj D somwhat on some parts of the game it does suck, some times it does have it good points in the game. This game does bot have good graphics or the guys do stupids stuff that you don't want them to. The enemy does do stuff that you can not even do. which sucks!

Well you can have so much realism in a video game.
I think it would be cooler if you could get to know your partners a little better.Too bad they cut the beginning were you meet your fellow soldiers right before the jump.
Even the A.I can be a little off at times this is definently not a bad game.
Cant wait for Brothers in arms 3 for the x-box 360

Joe, quit jumping to conclusions so fast. This forum will always be up. Graphics are a little off on parts. Im not gonna bother re-typing the bio part. Freedom fighter, your thinking of WWI, its called trench warfare.

I've completed most missions on authentic, if i had one complaint (to keep the others on p2 company) it would be that the game is too easy, i mean, the carentan church level?
you get a sniper and no time limit and no need to keep your men alive, halfay through all difficulty is destroyed when you get a bazooka! hopefully they've got more sense than this next time.

I don't understand why a bad character biography (which, in my opinion, they were not) could be some big "let down" for the game. Just like he said, the game is overall great, with little to no flaws.
Still haven't beaten it on Authentic. Only like six missions to go.

TJ. this game doesnt suck. i dont know why they still have this forum still up here, but the game doesnt suck. just becuz the book or w/e u read says that it is supposed to do this, doesnt mean its gonna do just what the book says. i mean, u have to admit, the game is actually really good. the game play, the graphics r pretty good, sound quality is pretty good. hell even some of the scenes in the game i think r pretty good.

i respect your opinions, after all, it is a free country, however, road to hill thirty is amazing, therefore your opinions are totally wothless in a civilised discussion.
road to hill thirty is great for several reasons, firstly, i have owned most of the WW2 games on the PS2 (Call of Duty, Medal of Honor:Finest Hour, and Brothers In Arms) and out of these three, BIA is the best. the comabt feels and plays far better than any of the others.
firstly, the game reflects actual soldier experiences of WW2, if you look it up, you will discover most soldiers did not destroy an entire U boat crew all by himself, or steal an experimental nazi warplane, on his own.
most fighters of WW2 spent many hours sitting in a damp ditch with no ammo. hardly moving, and when they did, they crossed a feild to lie in another ditch a few hundred yards further on.
And secondly, it rewards you or punishes you for your actions, for example, in the 'purple heart lane' level, if all your men are killed crossing the causeway, you will find it a lot more difficult to charge the german Mg on the other side. it also rewards using of terrain, you use a squad to pin down the enemy, and another to flank the enemy, its a great system that feels good to play.
so, in conclusion, the only way you can be forgiven for your comments is if you accidentaly mixed up the new medal of honour for another, far superior title.
