This has been suggested twice and a lot have people have took intrest in it. There was no petition so i'm creating one(as far as I know no one created one).

What's wrong with Loungin'? If it's too general to go in any of the console specific forums then it should go in Loungin'. All this would do is drag people away from other forums when there is no need.

This wasn't implemented before, and with good reason. Threads on this kind of subject get enough attention in Loungin'. In other words, I'm against this.

Despite Neoseeker's wide variety of forums, there is no real place to discuss video games in general. A lot of the discussion goes to Loungin' (such as The Future of Video Games, When Did You Start Playing Video Games?, and What Kind of Games Would You Make?, to name a few). Some of the discussion goes into one game in specifically, or, more commonly, a General Platform forum (the PS2 vs GameCube vs Xbox thread in General PS2 comes to mind, which is currently on it's 21st installment of the ongoing debate).

To put it bluntly, there are many general video game discussions circling around Neoseeker without any real proper place. Therefore, I am suggesting the creation of a Video Games forum that focusses on Video Games in general; as well as providing a "neutral" field for debates concerning the different platforms released, as well as upcomming systems yet to have an official place in Neoseeker.

Thoughts?
I hope thats enough. Theres also the console war threads.

To be honest I don't really see a reason to have a General Gaming forum. I think you will run out of ideas way to easily. Unless you give me some reasons stating what types of threads could be made in this forum then I won't sign and just stick to the general console forum discussions.
