When I am playing level 5 as Luger or Rico I can repel the Helgast landing force and defend the dock entrance. HOwever, when I try to reach the dock entrance nothing happens. I go up the ramp to the left and stop at the crates blocking the way. Then, instead of seeing the Victory screen nothing happens. Templar and Hakha do not have this problem. Is there a bug in this game or am I missing something?

You have to shoot everybody in the boats. The glitch is some helghast dont come out of the boats, keep shooting in there you'll hear the grunts and all that even if you can't see them. You'll know you got em all when Objective accomplished flashes on the screen.

On the first try with Luger I couldn't reach the docks with Luger, but I did make it on the second attempt. Instead of wiping out the enemy as they left the boats from behind I went around towards the right walls and headed to towards the good guys. After wiping out the enemy I was able to get to the dock entrance succesfully.

I have had no problem with Templar or Hakha reaching the docks entrance. With Rico, I have had to play 4 or 5 times before he got the victory screen and could go on to the next level. Only Luger, I can't get to reach the docks entrance. There must be something in the mission that triggers the end of mission screen for each character.
I can only suggest that:
1) you make sure that you kill all the enemies you encounter up to that point. Do not bypass the Helgast squad, heavy weapons operators or snipers in the dunes (two of them). Kill all of the Helgast landing party members. This may help. Three boat loads of Helgast land, if I remember correctly.
2) Talk to the ISA men near the machine gun.
3)Wait for all of your squad to reach the crates.
4)Move as close to the crates as you can get. Run up against them a few times.
5)Wander around a bit and pick up stuff and talk to any non-playing characters that you can and hope that it triggers the end of the scene.
I have been able to reach the docks with all characters except Luger. There must be something that triggers the end of mission for Luger but I have no idea what it could be.
Does anybody have any ideas on this?

I've been having the same problem, as soon as I get to the crates, nothing at all happens. I've played the entire level through with Templar, Luger, Rico, & Hahka...Nada...Anyone gots help?

I have played more since my last post. When playing this episode again I found that Rico could reach the docks entrance the first time I went up the ramp towards the crates. Lugar said, "Lets go to the docks." Then the game ended normally. I still can't get Lugar to reach the docks when I am playing as Lugar.

same thing happened to me with rico...i just killed myself with grenades/rockets then tried it again and the level ended at the crates the 2nd time...must be yet another glitch in the game...
