damos because in jak 2 the kid was wearing the mar amulet and damos said "find my son he will be wearing this amulet its from the house of mar" which also happens to be the same amulet jak has because of this information damos is jaks father and jak is mar

Mar is his dad, he says to jack find my son and give this amulet to him then he says you'll know it's him cause he's wearing te exact same one and jack looks down and he wearing the amulet, then jak says"dad" then mars dies

That cutscene proves absolutely nothing. Damas was the former king of Haven City until he was overthrown by Baron Praxis and exiled into the Wasteland.
Damas's son (Jak) was given to The Underground, yes, but he was then taken back into the past by Young Samos (The Shadow), where he grew up and eventually repeated his future self's actions by defeating Metal Kor so that his past self could be sent back in time (and then we get a nice infinity time loop situation here). Um.... I don't think I was talking about the infinite time loop. I was talking about by whom he was conceived, ya know, because he kinda had to born in the first place. You don't have to repeat what the others were saying in the other 17 pages of this thread.
After I can see that all of you have been beating this time loop thing to death, so any new ideas will be looked down upon anyway. Just glad to hear that someone paid attention to the cut-scene, though they completely disregarded it because their little theory would have been crushed.

Her father betrayed Damas in some way. Damas' son was taken and left to the underground. All of this seems to tie into each other.

Hmm. Let's ponder this.... Could Ashlin be Jak's mother? I mean, think about it....
Damas got Ashlin preggers, her father didn't like that fact so he had that guy dispose of the kid and tossed Damas in the wasteland. So, what do you think? It would also explain why she feels close to Jak in some way.

Well.... it can't be Mar, because if you beat the game, like me, at the end you find out that Jak really IS Mar...
As for the question: Hmm... such difficulty to find the truth about his mom, but the guy that dies at the end was his father, I forgot his name, though...

well i know that sig is jaks fathe well was until veagan kille sig because he told him to find his son which was wearin a amulet and jak had a flashback and he remembered that we had that same amulet and i know cause i passed the whole game in 2 days

I agree with that. They spell it out very simply, that a child can understand. But they do imply Jak could be that Mar,

The kid was young Jak(Mar), who went to Sandover to grow up and become Jak in Jak II, who found out his name was Mar off his father in Jak 3. The precursors tell he's got adventures waiting for him in the future(OD: Ur, or was it the past?) So he -may- be the Mar, but its unlikely as Jak avoids being in the spotlight, as he never took over a throne he actually was in line for. It would make little sense for him to create the line, aswell, as he would be his own ancestor and genetics don't really like to repeat themselves. So I think he's just named for his ancestor.
