I think
Bahmut = best
Yojimbo = worst

Seen as I was using the advanced sphere grid, I had yuna learn tier 3 black magic before lulu, so she became main party pretty early on. so it wasn't really all that expensive or time consuming. And any time consumed was generally towards getting blitz ace or celestial weapons.

Plus, given how DV has 800,000 HP IIRC (just checked; 800k exact), Oblivion can oneshot it if Anima's stats are high enough.

It's still easier, quicker AND cheaper to get Yoji to Zanmato it in one try though.

(Oh look its me again, hi)

If your yuna is trained high enough, anima's overdrive drops dark valefor to 16 hp. From max. And you're telling me that there's a better aeon (Yojimbo takes too long and too much money before becoming even the slightest bit reliable against the big enemies.
Training Yuna enough for Anima to get that strong would probably take more time than training Yojimbo to raise his compatibility...

Yojimbo is by far the worst
and i dont mean to be stereotyphical but Bahamut has my vote, not only having a beast entrance and look, but for having the best advantage overall when it comes to monsters

Oh well i guess in the context of text i misconstrued your point...

Apologies.
No prob mate...I would also suggest not trusting the tips section too much as there are bound to be some holes in these tips. Most FAQs contain useful info like that and of course you can ask the forum. Although it's not as active as it used to be there are always old members willing to help.

ima crazy lurker Lately ive been responding *help me threads* within 5 minutes of the original post... XD

I <3 helping people with FF games.

I just didn't list the mechanics for compatibility, but as i said before, you don't need to know any of that for him to use Zanmato every time, just use him over and over, don't let him die, pay him money, plain and simple, no lengthy detailed mechanics needed to explain WHY it works, because simply, it does.
The way you presented it was that eventually Yojimbo "gets used to" being payed 1 gil thus he performs Zanmato.

If someone follows what you said, invests some time but every time he uses Yojimbo, he (Yojimbo) ends up getting killed, his compatibility is lowered. Your tip might work (depending on how someone perceives it). What I explained is how it always works.

I just find it odd how you seem to think that what i said is any different from what you said.
And in all seriousness...how do you get from there to "I have a beef with you"? Lighten up mate

Edit:

Also too boost his compatibility, as long as you don't dismiss him right away, let him die, or pay him zero, eventually he is going to use Zanmato every single time. In fact it doesn't even take that long now that i look at the +/- factors, im about to unlock him again and armed with that knowledge ill bet ill have him spamming Zanmato every time in less then a week.
Exactly what I wanted to point out...
