Well I think Resident Evil kicks the most ass out of any survival horror series. Thats just me though.

RE and SH are both fantastic series in there own way, my favorite will always remain RE as it brought me to the genre, but SH is now the only game with a real fear element for me.

Resident evil is great, i feel like silent hill copied them a bit, but silent hill has something special which is that the game brings pyclogical terror, which make you fell scared, whereas resi games have lost there touch and just makes you jump, both are good, just have to wait for silent hill 4 and resi 4, they feel like 2 different games to me, silent hill makes you feel afraid more than resi, bith games r great at the end of the day!
