Online? Online? What the hell's that? An excuse for hackers and crap plot, that's what. I tell you, the original Phatasy Stars were the stuff of legends, the drink of the gods, the thrones of... yes. Well, I was fortunate enough to own Phantasy Star 2 and Phantasy Star 4, the latter of which goes down as my all-time favourite game. In the world. Ever. It had an awesome plot, something which Sonic Team forgot to include in the latest incarnation, great gameplay and brilliant combination attacks. Unlike those silly Mag things. Bah. Anyhow, did anyone else have the pleasure of owning any of these games?

I'm not sure what you could do for a Phantasy Star 5, because all of the loose ends got tied up in the fourth game.

I am actually playing this game right now, ten years after this thread was created. I guess that goes to show that genuinely great games are timeless, and PS4 can still hold its own in 2011. Who knows, if Neoseeker and I are still around in 2021, I may play through the game and bump this thread up again. If any classic RPG fans missed out on PS4, you really must find a copy

Yeah, I thought the revelation about how the Altron Solar System was created and it's purpose for existing was awesome. A lot of hte music was catchy, I thought, such as the boss music. Did anyone find all 15 combination attacks, by the way? I managed to find 14 of them... d'oh. That's it - I'm gonna get some screenshots.

I've only ever played through and finished Phantasy Star 4 (and that was after I started on PSO! oi...), and I really enjoyed it as an RPG. It's nice to see them tie the story of the previous Master System and Genesis games up like that as you got closer to the end. It's a cool swan song for the original Phantasy Star series. Plus the spaceship theme was catchy.

You did, mate. A decent plotline, for one thing Heh - maybe I'll post some screenshots of Phantasy Star 4 up (Emulator and ROM, which Neoseeker doesn't endorse, though *coughimightcough*), just to get the nostalgic juices flowing.
