Discussion for Marvel's line of Ultimate comics which is an alternate universe based upon the standard Marvel Universe. There are many similiarities and many differences between the Marvel Universe and the Ultimate Marvel Universe. The major series of the Ultimate Marvel Universe are Ultimate Spiderman, Ultimate X-Men, and The Ultimates (which is essentially nothing more than the Ultimate Marvel version of the Avengers). There are some other series in the line such as Ultimate Marvel Team-Up but at present these previously mentioned 3 series are the major ones.

Really enjoying the X-Men series. By having the veterans dead, it feels like a coming of age sort of deal with the younger X-Men kids.

Since there is a reboot, it would be a good time to try and get back in to the Ultimate universe. Didn't even know there was a redoing of the Ultimate universe. Kind of got lost in this one little thing DC was doing. Something about 52 guys or something.

Don't get me wrong here. I still despise Ultimate Spider-man and Ultimate X-men (although the Ult. Spidey and X-men Legends game has improved my opinon SLIGHTLY) Ultimates is ok. I like the artwork. Although I am so entirely sick of the fact that I can't read ONE page of that book without seeing the word "government" 60 BAZILLION times.

I like Ultimate Captain America's look and some of his origin, but... still, he's such a dick sometimes.

Although I will admit, I LOVE one of his quotes...

"Surrender? SURRENDER?! WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS LETTER ON MY HEAD STANDS FOR, FRANCE?!?"
