quote IamthebestNeverIt accesses data that is hidden from view. That falls under intellectual rights, so in a form it actually is hacking. Take it from a professional in the tech industry. The more you know, right?Corpathium Instacheck doesn't influence or alter the game so no, it is not. Sure, it connects to the 3DS but it doesn't hack into the programming.
quote IamthebestNeverFair enough. Instacheck and Battle Analyzer (Or whatever it's called) are definite forms of abuse then, in your opinion? I personally detest anyone who uses 3rd party junk. Just enjoy the game. It's really not that hard (I don't think Pokemon has EVER been EASIER than right now)Corpathium ._. As long as no outside app/software influences or alters the game, it can't be classified as abuse. At least I don't consider it to be.
P.S I rephrased my previous post.
quote IamthebestNeverTechnically speaking, you are abusing an algorithm by seeing its output, then modifying a couple variables. It is TECHNICALLY abuse - but you are right, it's not the "Oh look, a 6IV Shiny after flipping the coin 78 times" style abuse. It is still a form of abuse.Corpathium It really can't be called RNG abuse. That's like calling GameFreak cheaters for making breeding too easy.
RNG in previous gens allowed the player to get a shiny flawless while it's rarely the case here. The chances are vastly improved but you're not abusing the programming in the game via a third party application or software to get what you want.
