That's not why they're hard to say (well, they're not hard to say at all, but if they were, that wouldn't be why). They chose the English names first, and then converted them into katakana for the Japanese games. Those names aren't Japanese (Japanese doesn't even have a 'V' sound).

These names are the same as the Japanese names... That is probably why htye sound hard to say... But then again I said Farfetche'd and rattata wrong fir the longest time as well. The names were suppose to hold meaning not be easy. But I have to agree with Ground. Even though I liked all regions... I hate when people praise generation 1 as being the best just because it was older. Gen 1 had a lot of flaws and were just as descent as the other games. I really do not want another remake since they remade Kanto a BILLION TIMES... If you want a new Kanto play Heartgold and Soulsilver... But Kanto is not forgotten you still see it in newer games or at least hear about it... How many times has Red or Team Rocket has been mentioned... Way too much.

They are legendary.... they should have Epic names.
Aren't they japanese names? I'm sure the english names will be easier to say.
Those are the English names. But, as with most legendaries, the Japanese names are the same (well, technically the Japanese names are 'Zeruneasu' and 'Iberutaru', but Japanese has a rather limited number of syllables, so they work with what they've got).

X-ho and Y-ho, coolio! But yeah Dialga and Lugia x 2? Awesome.
Anyways, I'll be going with Pokemon Y because Yveltal is way cooler to me. Unless they do the whole switch-a-roo and put Yveltal in Pokemon X and Xemnas Xerneas in Pokemon Y. Or their names are switched around. I don't understand how it would be confusing unless they did one or both of those things.
