Hi there! I would just like to check the compatibility of all the parts in this build:

Thank you!

Looks good to me for a budget build. You may want to buy a case though.

If your friend is only gaming, then moving to an i5 won't make too much of a difference.

Fair enough. I'd still recommend upgrading to an i5. i3s are dual core while i5s are quad core. Quite a big difference in performance.

1. This is actually for a gamer friend who doesn't do anything on his computer that would require anything incredibly CPU intensive. With that in mind, he told me to focus most of the budget on the GPU while making sure that the CPU doesn't bottleneck in games.

2. Yes, we have a Zalman Z11 already.

3. I thought the same thing too, but he kept on telling me that 500 GB was enough for him and he could always buy a second one. His choice, I suppose.

Everything is fine but I just have a few questions

1. Are you going to be doing any decent gaming on it? Like any game released in the past year
2. Do you already have a case?
3. Are you sure 500GB is enough for a HDD?

It's pretty rare these days to get a GPU that costs that much more than your CPU. I would recommend you go for a lower end GPU and get a higher end CPU. You'll get better overall performance out of your computer that way

500GBs these days is definitely not enough as a hard drive in my opinion. Even with 1TB I'm forever cleaning out my HDD. That's mostly from just temporary files too. You're going to need external drives if you plan on sticking with it.

My main concerns are whether the RAM is compatible with the build, whether the power supply is strong enough to support the system, and whether a PCI slot for a wireless adapter will still be open with the 7850.
