EA really is sticking by the Kinect, with the publisher announcing today that Visceral Games' Dead Space 3 will support the Xbox 360 peripheral. Similar to how Mass Effect 3utilized the Kinect, Dead Space 3 will support voice commands through the Kinect, in both single-player and co-op.
As EA pointed out, this is the first time we're seeing the voice controls implemented in a cooperative environment. It's supposed to streamline the experience a bit, by letting players simply speak commands like sharing ammo or reviving a partner. Visceral VP Steve Papoutsis says:
"Kinect will make it easier for co-op partners to give each other health or ammo, find objectives, revive one another and more. The voice commands in Dead Space 3 give players a unique way to take down the terror, whether they choose to face the Necromorphs alone in single-player, or alongside a friend with drop-in / drop-out co-op."
Regardless of how well Dead Space 3's Kinect compatibility works, we're going to guess that most players won't be using it in any capacity. Just a hunch though.
A new trailer accompanies today's Kinect announcement, though it's really more about the co-op campaign in general rather than the voice features. The idea here is that players can choose to tackle the game alone or with a buddy. The choice is really up to you.

I hope its Co-op AI will be much better than other games such as Resident Evil: Raccoon City Operations.... P.S. Despite advances in graphics and online features, co-op AI has been stuck in the days of Famicom...

How exactly will Kinect react to me screaming like a school-girl? Did I say me? I meant my friend.
