Well the game officially releases in Japan tomorrow, and so Serebii is starting their game coverage early. :3

quote Pre Release
1. It is mentioned that ALL Pokemon you have recruited earn experience, including ones that you do not take to the dungeon. I haven't really recruited anything beyond 4 yet, so I can't confirm this. But it sounds easier to level up all your Pokemon.
2. You can't seem to do multiple quests at the same time now, even if they're in the same dungeon. Only one at a time
3. There is some known as V-waves, brought upon by Victini's arrival. Basically, the 'weather' changes every day to favour one elemental type. That type has higher attacks, and PPs during that day. You can pay Victini to play its V-wave Roulette to change the type randomly.
4. This game takes on a lot of 'Farming game' essence. You can construct your own facilities in the Paradise with Gurdurr's help, and you need to collect items and money (mostly from quests) as ingredients for Gurdurr to build them. These facilities are either berry-growing soil, move power-up gyms and so forth. You can also expand your land in a similar fashion. There seems to be 9 acres of land altogether and each holds like 3 facilities from what I can see. There are many facility options though, so I suppose you don't get to own all of them, just according to your choice, pretty much like the Join Avenue in B2W2.
5. Cinccino's store creates specific 'Gifts' that makes Pokemon recruitment easier. These gifts are built upon raw ingredients like Gurdurr's, mostly from Berries and so. Apart from type-specific ones you get from boxes, Cinccino's are Pokemon-specific, like Archen-Gift and Vullaby-Gift. The option to create the gift appears once you have seen that Pokemon in a dungeon.
6. The dungeons this time have some 'outdoor areas'. You enter one floor, exit from the top of some cliff, and then enter another floor. In these 'outdoor areas', there may be wild Pokemon walking around too, but you can avoid them simply not by walking directly into them. They will not attack you unless you collide into them.
7. Tried out the MagnaGate. As known, you find any circular object that is detectable by the camera and you randomly turn into a Pokemon to start exploration. It doesn't seem to tie to the main plot at all, but the items and cash you earn goes to your main game when you finish the dungeon. You can use the same object to access multiple dungeons. They are rather difficult compared with the main game, and there appears to be a boss Pokemon at the last floor. The only one I came across was a high level Audino. These dungeons you have accessed will be logged and you can access them again later.
quote Day 1
If you played the demo version, as soon as you boot up the game, it will ask you if you want to carry your demo save data over.
There are 138 Pokémon available in the game before you hit the ending
You can recruit Pokémon in Magnagate Dungeons and they'll appear in your standard game
Edit @ 17:02; There's a load of DLC live. Missions for Pikachu, Snivy and Oshawott and two more for items.
Oshawott, Snivy and Pikachu ones cost 150 Yen each
The other two cost 200 each
17:12; Ivy Park is the Snivy DLC and is 3 star difficulty. It gets you the Grass Device. Oshawott DLC is also 3 Star and takes you to the Ocean Beach. It is filled with Water-types and gets you the Water device. The Pikachu DLC is Shiny Land. It gets you the Electric Device. Training Mountain is a 2 star mission and costs 200 Yen. It has you hunt for a specific seed, the Communication Seed. Finally, the Skill - Treasure DLC is four star difficulty and has you go through thedungeon using Team Skills. You then get a chest to open in town.

19;05; You can earn Paradise Points with each mission. In missions, you can obtain materials that Gurdurr can use to build up the Paradise
19:21: The Pokémon that you befriend will dwell in the areas of the Pokémon Paradise
19:58; You can switch between Friend Mode and Normal Mode at will. However, in Friend Mode, you can only go to dungeons and the Pokémon Paradise. Various Pokémon are moved to the Paradise from the town in this mode
20:24; Added more dungeons
22:00; With the DLC dungeons, they start off with fairly low-levelled Pokémon, but as you get deeper, they get tougher
23:06: I have confirmation that Pokémon level up regardless of whether they are with you or not. I just brought Espeon into the dungeon with me and he levelled up 3 levels instantaneously
23:40: The level up moves are based on Black 2 & White 2
quote Day 2
There are multiple dungeons in the narrative where you can either only be with your partner, and some even on your own
14:28; If you get blocked into a dungeon without able to get supplies, you can go into Friend Mode and farm missions for them
16;15: You continue the post-game as your partner, at least at first
16:19; Meloetta is found in the Pokémon Paradise and wants to open a Music Paradise, so you need to get the items it needs
18:44; Once you have defeated the game, you will evolve in standard ways in dungeons. My Axew just evolved into Fraxure. This is only post-game
19:25; When going through the dungeons, there are random times where you will be transported to another dungeon for a few floors
quote Day 3
There are two types of missions
Standard missions can be obtained at the board by Azumarill. This can be played in normal mode or in friend mode. Some legends will come through this one. Special missions are only available in Friend Mode. These can be played with friends locally and feature you being pitted against various Pokémon. I believe that battles such as the ones seen against Zekrom and Reshiram are found here. Pokémon cannot be recruited but EXP is gained.
Completion of the missions give you various items and increase the popularity of your Pokémon Paradise
10:02; Lugia is also found in a special mission
12:38; People on 2ch are reporting that there are only 144 Pokémon within this game. We've got no confirmation yet, but we're checking into it. They worked it out based on Cinccino's gifts. We're investigating this now
13:22; TMs are found primarily within Magnagate dungeons and will be sent to your box with all the other items you obtain in said dungeon
Some interesting stuff there. The V-Wave feature sounds quite interesting. Really sucks you can only do one quest at a time though. I also like the way in how Pokémon Paradise is developed. :3

Wait, how many Pokemon were in Pokemon Rumble Blast?
Had to look it up as I never played the game. But apparently you can catch all 646 Pokemon in that game.

Sprites are a bit easier to make and fit in a game than 3D models.
Then they shouldn't have made it 3D.

Wait, how many Pokemon were in Pokemon Rumble Blast?

This game really does sound cool, but if there is 1 Pokémon shy of the 649 Pokémon, I will pass on it. I refuse to buy a Pokémon game where not all the Pokémon are there. Red/Blue each had all 386 of the first 3 gens, and then Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness/Sky all had 493. I expect no less with this one having all 649.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Hmm, not even sure about that. I can totally imagine more than 138 though. xD

And to keep on top of things:

Only 144 Pokémon within the game? This is getting worse. xD Hopefully they're wrong on that though, that would be a real shame considering there's 649 in all...;o

I'll put everything in the OP I suppose.

Does anyone know the number of Pokemon you could get pre-ending in the previous PMD games?

Nov 24, 12 at 12:10pm

Having only 138 for the entire story is a bit low considering how many we currently have. I can't see how many more they can possibly fit in post-game. Is there that much to do afterwards?
