Welcome back to this years SOTF 2013! I believe the structure of last years SOTF went quite well, following the system first suggested by Kesh originally for FM11. Story of the Fortnight is the opportunity for bragging rights in the forum, who has the most popular story out there so far!
For those who do not know or need a reminder, what happens is that every fortnight, a number of stories will be nominated by the mods for the big trophy. You guys have a couple days to vote with the top three places receiving the following:
1st place: Story moved into the main forum for the fortnight 2nd place: Story will be stickied in the story forum 3rd place: Some sort of mention in the header
We will probably also continue with the star theme to show your success with first place getting 3 stars *** added to the thread caption. 2 stars will go to 2nd and 1 star to 3rd place. STAR METHOD UP FOR DISCUSSION, did you like it from last year?
Nominations will be up on the Thursday or Friday with results on the Sunday after
You're only allowed to vote once. Don't use secondary accounts because we can always find out who you are.
You cannot vote for your own story.
Stories may win as many consecutive fortnights as they deserve
Yes, exactly that. I wouldn't mind really long videos personally, I'm used to watching LPs in excess of half an hour fairly routinely. It's just much more interesting to see and hear the player's reasoning for what they're doing than it is to just have them tell you what happens.
Edit: Also how do I tag people in messages? I've been out of the Neoseeker loop for a really long time.
Put the @ and then their username, if they have a space in it, then put one at the end of the username too, examples;

What would you considered "boring grunt work" Ranger 1?
Well, I've noticed that none of the people I've looked at for LPs really go over personnel decisions in any sort of depth. They just sort of say "HEY I GOT RID OF HALF MY TEAM AND THEN GOT A WHOLE NEW ONE ON THE TRANSFER MARKET, OH LOOK I WON THE LEAGUE CUP"
So what you're saying, is that you want to see how everything happens, not just the end results? I was going to hopefully try and get go into a bit of depth into how things happen. Like a diary of how things happened in a way, where you saw all of the triumphs and failures as it happens. See the workings of the manager as he does it. The only thing is I'm not sure how long that will make the videos.

Wow, can't say that I was expecting myself to be saying that I had gained the Story of the Fortnight award during two games (FM12 and FM13), but here I am now saying that I can.
First of all, thank you everyone who voted for my story for making this possible, quite honestly, this would not have been able to be done without you guys voting for me.
Next, I'm considering doing a YouTube series one day for either Fifa 14 or Pro Evolution Soccer 14, and I would be interested in getting an early indication of what you guys would be interested in.
I'm also considering doing next season's 25 and Still Jobless story as a YouTube series, but I'm not sure if I should be doing that or not. I've heard that FM Let's Plays are not that enjoyable for some people, but I would be open to your opinions on the matter if that's okay.
Also, IcarusAbides, why is there a ) in my title? Dundee Utd)? Is that a typo on your part?
Seriously though guys, thanks a million for your votes, I really appreciate it.
I would definitely watch one of those if you did it. I would especially like to see some of the more "boring" grunt work done, mostly just because I'm having real trouble figuring out the fundamentals of team building on my own. >.>u
