It's pretty likely that SSB4 will have some kind of story mode. But where would it go?

Should they make it a sequel to SSE?

Or should they scrap that and make a brand new one?

I thought the story mode in Brawl was alright but not great. I would prefer this game with no story tbh.

Regarding Alex Harmon's idea:

Really?
Confusing concept, to be honest. All the good guys summoned by some new character (Does mental recallation of all characters that can summon...
...
... ... ......
I've got some Final Fantasy characters, All playable people from Golden Sun and its sequel, and Fomortiis from Fire Emblem, the Sacred Stones. You wouldn't mind clarifying that issue, would you?), on a "new" planet (Many people, exclusion of moi, HATED SubSpace. The mode had unassociable adversaries, its plot development couldn't be grapsed, and most important of all, it took place in a world that had NO bearing on classic Nintendo franchises. Is the planet you're thinking of a StarFox or Galaxy planet? ...Nah, the story would be sick, in the literal sense, if the story took place on only one planet.)? And you said that a bunch of bad guys were trying to form a perfect way to overthrow the Earth (If there's something I know about bad guys, it's that they're scheming, backstabbing ones. Proof? Look at Ganondorf. So what do you think would happen when the "bunch of bad guys" succeed in their "perfect way to overtake the planet"?) And tell me why the main boss comes from Zelda, and he's a character who seems less important than Ghirahim, and a character who's popped up in only one game? And an Eggman robot? Seriously? Sakurai did mention that just inserting 3rd-party characters will lose the focus of the game. And he wanted a roster close to Brawl's size (Someone tell me where the variety will be in that.). And finally, people want the story mirrored after (just) Nintendo characters. Is there any problem in using a Lash invention, a Metroid cyborg or a Dr. Crygor robot gone berserk?

they should have it where the characters dissappear and go to another planet where some guy like.. a new character summoned them to defeat the bad guys like bowser, ghirahim, dr. eggman, demise (the main boss guy) ganon, king k. rool, king hippo, A BUNCH A BAD GUYS are trying to form a perfect way to take over earth when, boss after boss, you get to demise or dr eggmans HUGE robot to win.

(since dragons are common bosses in the FE series)
Are they?
lets look at which kind of final boss appears the most in Fire emblem:
-Humans:3(two wizards in FE4&5 and a warrior in FE9)
-Gods:3(FE2,FE8(demon god)&FE10)
-Dragons:4 or even 6 if you count the remakes(FE1,3,6,7 and the remakes)

and in fire emblem awakening we've got

not to mention that in almost every fire emblem game you'll face dragons at some point through the story.
Oh, common FINAL bosses. Makes much more sense.

And Black Knight and Black Shadow didn't seem undefeatable at times? The way that Smash Bros works, having the boss flinch would make it too easy. Especially if they were smaller. Perhaps instead, we can have some method of temporarily stunning him.
The black knight looked strong, but since Fire emblem is a rpg,it was clear, that you would finally reach his level after some leveling, not to mention that in the end you defeat the black knight in a 1 on 1.

Black shadow never seemed undefeatable...

I think that Black shadow could work as a boss, maybe with some kind of high speed battle against him in his black bull, where you have to kick him out of the cockpit or something like this^^

Black knight seems rather unlikely as a boss anyway.
Sure he is Ikes nemesis and an important villain in two games.
But Medeus is simply more important and fits even better as a boss, since he is the main enemy in 2 games(which also got remakes,so he is actually the boss in 4 games),he is a dragon, which gives him good boss potential and represents the FE series quite well(since dragons are common bosses in the FE series),he is Marths nemesis and Marth is the most important FE chara and because of the remakes he is also the most recent main enemy after the one from FE13

tabuu is a being, that was presented as almost undefeatable and of tremderous power who defeated almost all characters with a single attack(not to mention that he was still much bigger than any of the characters).
But guys like black shadow and the black knight are presented as equal captain flacon/ike.

Why would that look ridiculous? These extremely powerful people not being smacked about is such a strange idea to you? Look at Tabuu. How big was he? He wasn't that big, and he didn't go around being kicked around like a soccer ball.
