In today's Dead or Alive 5 update, Team Ninja introduces us to MMA fighter Mila, an aspiring champion who, despite her age, has taken home many victories across the globe. The video shows us two segments, in which she faces off against Zack, then Tina Armstrong.
The new stage here is modeled after New York, taking place on a rooftop. Sounds pretty mundane, right? Until the subway cars randomly come flying over the skyline and crashing into the roof. Yeah, no idea how that happened, but at that point, the fighters can use the derailed trains to their advantage. Holy crap, trains everywhere.
The map is referred to as "Street," but we're sticking with our own name for it, "Rooftop."
In addition to the Mila gameplay video, we've also got another "Fighter Chronicles" episode, going behind-the-scenes.

kuje You have not played the previous DoA games have you? Yes itbhas cutscenes, but they are usually centered around tits or explosions. Not saying it's a bad game but if you want cutscenes in a fighter go for tekken.

Looks promising...Plus, Tekken usually has great cutscenes; Tekken Tag 2 is bringing back a lot of a lot of good cutscenes.

Game looks like fun, and I'm really digging the cutscenes. There usually aren't any cutscenes in fighting games.

Not sure if I should be irritated by the way they anime-ized her face (I think it's the eyes..), or pleased with her wardrobe....
I'll go with pleased.
Then laugh at the jiggle physics at 1:20.
