After the malfunction of an ancient transportation device, the Captain of a spacefaring warship finds himself alone on a planet full of unusual and impossible creatures. His curiosity eventually leads to the discovery of age-old mysteries, and perhaps age-old enemies...
...But what do they have to do with six special objects on this planet?
i used it more as an opportunity to get feedback on specific things
That's actually quite ingenious.

true. perfect example is GBs fic. but like i said, i used it more as an opportunity to get feedback on specific things. even if my grammar is near perfect (the issues i had were mainly not knowing when to use a comma or full stop, before or after dialogue), its still nice to have criticism for improvement.
heh, yeah. of interest is the EqD rejection i got, back when i was only just past that chapter. here is one of the comments:

While I'm sure fans of Homeworld love your references, some of the allusions get a little too plot-important to stay references. I found myself a bit baffled (particularly early on) over the differences between, say, classes of ships and pretty much everything to do with the Keepers/Progenators. This issue gets better as the story goes on and more is explained, but I could see you losing a lot of readers early on, which is a shame, because any story that features Luna using the moon as a celestial wrecking ball is at least worth a look in my book.
i knew back then that it wasnt going to be good enough for submission, but i just wanted some input from them. so far, i havent really gone back to fix each chapter, because ive been too busy making new ones, but ill probably go back and fix them once i finish the story.
Bah, screw EQD. I understand that they like to be 'the' repository of 'good' quality fics, but they're snobs that have no idea what a good fic actually is. As long as the grammar and punctuation is perfect, the story passes. Apparently, the content doesn't matter as long as it makes sense. They're perfectly happy to approve the same types of fic over and over, but if something new, unique or interesting passes under their noses that just happens to have a few errors (that most people wouldn't even notice), it's not worth reading.
They're supposed to be the place to go when you want a guarantee of a good story, as opposed to sifting through FimFiction.

Short Circuit
Turquoise Nebula? Ooh. I like that one. I agree, your chapter names are hoofin' awesome.
My favorite will always be Lunar Strike though.
