if they decide not to, maybe (in time) with enough complaints about lag issues, they'll change it... because i'm assuming there's going to be a lot of DLC for this game, so i can see people getting mad because they just spent 400 MSP on a weapons pack, only to be hindered by crappy connections...
who knows though... just my thoughts

As you said, that is the only thing limiting the console. It's just that you don't see developers going out of the way to have dedicated servers often. Considering that they are going to be making the game F2P, I personally don't think they will do that. I could be wrong though.

I think it will work fine if they use dedicated servers. Battlefield 3 managed 24-player online multiplayer for consoles, and I'm guessing the graphics processing on the 360 is the limiting factor, not the connection quality.

As all of you are aware, the game is going to be 16v16. I was thinking about this today, and I was wondering if latency and lag might be a factor when playing with this many people(on the Xbox). Do you guys think they will be hosting servers themselves or will it be locally hosted? I haven't been able to look much into it.
