Actually, that thread seems to be about PSOne games being playable on the Vita. Growlanser is a PSP game. Also, AFAIK, this is not related to the firmware update, but rather a PSN update so that thread doesn't really seem relevant to this topic at all.

As of the most recent PSN update, Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time is now downloadable directly to the Vita. If you are a fan of RPGs and waiting for some to play on your Vita I highly recommend it.
