it all comes down to how much surface area is available to dissipate heat from, but even that follows a law of diminishing returns.
best thing to do is to stick some fans on passive heatsinks.

Sometimes I have to wonder how there is so big a difference between some of the high end coolers these days since in terms of fin and fan layout, they are all pretty much the same: Fan||||||Fan|||||

0.5 A Power Input
where did 7.2 watts come from? if its rated for 12 volts and 0.5 amps, it should be 6 watts. or 3 if you use the started voltage (im guessing that is the voltage once the fan is at a certain RPM?)

We return Thermaltake's Frio lineup of CPU coolers with the Frio Extreme, which naturally sits on the extreme portion of the cooling performance scale. That's the idea at least: find out how extreme this not-so-little $99 cooler can be in our review.
