Legend of Zelda series Link with the new appearance for skyward sword, Zelda with the same alterations for skyward sword and Fi could be links taunt instead of navi, Shiek has been a part of zelda's moveset even when zelda was the twilight princess appearance. Ganondorf and hopefully the final smash as Ganon from oot 3ds, Ghirahim, Demise and because nintendo said that thier next game wouldnt be majoras mask 3d because of another remake but thats the sequel to oot so maybe instead of young link and toon link, it will be the teenage link with the ability to change the form of masks and final smash will be fierce diety mask.
Pokemon series Pokemon trainer who i hope will be from pokemon black/white 2 and the costumes will be female/male costumes. the trainer will have snivy, emboar and dewott. Zoroark will be the 5th generation of mewtwo/lucario so both mewtwo and lucario will probably NOT come back. sorry fans, i love mewtwo and lucario too but its a high chance zoroark will replace them. Pikachu as always, Jiggly puff has featured in two smash bros games and has a chance of cooming back, in melee there was pichu and brawl no extra pokemon alike, it could give the fourth installment another pokemon to play as but it could be kyurem with the ability to change through black/white kyurem at will OR play as the new event pokemon Genesect.
Metroid, only samus aran with zerosuit samus has entered the series but by adding ridley with a costume of meta ridley could slightly improve this series characters.
Starfox series Fox, Falco, Wolf and krystal
F-Zero series Captain falcon, either Samorai Goroh or Black shadow.
Fire Emblem Series Marth, Roy/Ike is likely to be replaced again with maybe Zoldam, Lyn.
Kirby Series. Kirby, Galacta knight, King dedede, Knuckle Joe.
Kid Icarus series Pit, Magnes, Haydes, Medusa
Sonic and Snake was non nintendo characters and so will not be returning however, namco bandai is working with the game and pacman is a possability of entering the smash and a capcom character, maybe ryu. ive heard rumours of a tekken cameo which increases ryu's playable chance because of tekkens clash with street fighter. Sonic could still be in the game because the release of london olympic games but might not come back.
Mother series Ness, Lucas and Paula
Ice climbers Mr game and watch Captain olimar hopefully with a complete new moveset Rob might not come back
there is around 50-ish characters and from n64 with the available 12, melee with 25 and brawl with 35, there might be around 45-48 characters innthe game. thanks for reading.

Ganondorf with a sword moveset is something I'd like in the next game.

demise would be a good boss, ive actually hacked brawl as most people do and i liked the skull kid that someone made and playing in clocktown too is just epic. ive also played as characters like crash bandicoot, sly cooper, sub zero and with the right moveset they could suit smash bros style. ive also had a ganondorf moveset mod where he used the sword and can unequip it when pleased.

The only reason anybody wants Skullkid in Super Smash Bros is so they can kick his butt, so he'd acually be a good boss idea, but not a good roster idea.

king dedede up-b i find rubbish when trying to land back onto the stage and same with captain olimar 3rd jump, dedede's hammer is ausome but few other attacks should be changed. olimars attacks mainly require to get pikmin and every time i try to get pikmin, im lucky to get just 1.
ive also read on zelda dungeon that on twitter there was a poll for smash fans favourite character for ssb4 and majoras mask skull kid won the poll and that other stuff relating to one another, that i cant quote due to my internet being on a 3ds, but anyways skull kid might be in the 4th installment. i can already see what his taunts could be, tatl and teal, messing about on the ocarina of time then laughing like the intro.

im looking foward for what nintendo has in store for us with the stages concept, pikmin 3 hopefully better than the brawl pikmin stage, luigi's mansion 2, pokemon white/black 2 kyurems place should be the new spear pillar and kyurem can be a cameo changing forms like dialga and palkia etc, new super mario bros 2 but mario should lower themselves in this 4th installment and maybe other cool stages like skyloft and the new version of battlefield and final destination like all smash bros games had

Funny, I was playing Brawl the other day as Ganondorf kicking Captain Falcon's butt and when I had high damage he did try Falcon Punch, but he missed because he turned around, I didn't even try to dodge this, he just Falcon Punched away from me thus missing, so then I finished him with a powered up A up move.
