I tend to agree with him. Thats why I do plenty of gameplay research on youtube before I buy anything.
If games go up next gen, you can bet your butt I won't be buying virtually anything brand new or on release day. I will strictly buy used, and cheaper games off psn.

I wasn't particularly saying it was good value. If anything we've been getting ripped off in the UK with new games having been £40 even as far back as the Mega Drive whilst the US has seen a rise each gen and have only just reached equivalent UK price this gen!

I don't really see the money deal? Alot are saying 40 pounds in the UK per game is good and its been that way for awhile.
Well, I did some currency converting, and its basically 60 bucks American per game. So Idk why people are forthcoming with that tid bit of info? Its basically the same
Now the Euro is a different story, its like 48 euros per 60 USD

Like others here I can confirm that brand new games in the UK have always been £40. However where others have only confirmed that this has been the case as far back as PS2, I can confirm that PS1 and even Sega Mega Drive games have always been £40 brand new, £40 has been the eternal new game price in the UK. The only exceptions have been the occasional game which has deemed itself worthy of a £45 price (CODMW2, 3 & BO, the last couple of FIFA's and randomly I seem to recall that FF9 had a £45 tag). A lot of people thought that £45 could become the new standard price for most new games after COD had charged that and still had strong UK sales (the COD price was controversial at the time and some suspected a consumer backlash), however so far only FIFA has followed suit as far as I'm aware.
I fully expect the majority of next gen games to still be £40 brand new, for some reason they've been inflation-proof here since the early 90's!

I almost never buy $60. A few games I really love (like Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, Infamous 2) I may pre-order, but usually I wait until the price goes down. Take Deus Ex. I just got it couple weeks ago, for only $20. The game is only a year old! And there are always great deals on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Even for the Black Friday deals, most of them are available online as well, which means I just need to stay up until midnight, not wake up at five in the morning and try to fight the crowd at a store.
That statement is 100% true. It's more of an arcade game than a resident evil.
Had a good friend who had it as soon as it launched. He said he didn't enjoy it at all
I decided right then I'd wait a good while to get it, if at all. Not a big fan of the RE spinoff games, they all kinda suck compared to the main story ones in my opinion.
I played it in a full party.. then decided to try the S+ ratings. Those were actually reward. The first free DLC sort of sucked me into the paid DLC because the DLC campaign was so much better than the crappy game.
