Before I start, I have like a million and one questions so I'm sorry in advance if you actually take the time to help me out.

(This part is not important, you don't need to read it)
This game is awesome.. It has such a nice feel to it. I wasn't impressed with the graphics at first but it's one of those games where (for me) it looks nicer with cartoony graphics than it would with realistic graphics. There are countless things that are making me fall in love with it but for the life of me I can't figure out some sh1t and it's frustrating.. I'm a fast learner, I got 18 trohpys in an hour. I was stuck for a bit on wolves <,< (which had me thinking I was doing something wrong) but fortunately I talked to someone else who said they had the same problem. Anyways, before this turns into a novel here are my questions:

1. I started out a mage, bumped my vocation to sorcerer, and I still only shoot those gay little white orbs.. I'm level 15, I figured out how to use my discipline points to purchase and attune spells.. But how the f_ck do I use them at will ? I have this dude whom I assume is everyone's default pawn "Rook" that heals me and turns my attacks into fire attacks during battle. But I want to be able to do those things by myself. Pawns are awesome no doubt, but I'm a do it yourself kind of guy and I like to do most of the work.

2. Since this game is so large, and you can eat, sleep and whatever else. Can you also buy houses, marry, etc. ?

3. As I sorcerer, I hear that we can levitate which is *bleep*ing boss.. I NEED to learn how to do that, lol.

4. I've located the armor shop in Gran Soren and sold a ton of sh_t I didn't need, improved a few things, found this native dude I bought an adorable dress off of.. But that's obviously not it right ? When will I find the next store or treasure chest that has some nice looking stuff to suit my sweet little elf up in ?

5. I made two elvish women who looked like sisters (photo enclosed) and my pawn "Anastasia" died in battle... I got the trophy.. I forget wtf it's called now for reviving my pawns so I know how to do that. I just lost her in the chaos of a mini war between us and a bunch of goblins and turned around later on to find that one of us was missing.. Now, can I get her back from the Rift ? Oooorrr..... Is she forever gone ? Because my heart will break right in half if she can't be recovered.

6. I hear that you can get pawns to trade things ? Like.. You can send them to someone with useful items ? I already learned you can't be a douche and just take your pawns armor for yourself if you're using someone elses pawn. But how would I go about sending someone a useful piece of armor or a weapon ?

7. And lastly (for now, because this IS a novel now..) can you actually not swim ? I went in to the water because I'm a lazy f_ck and my destination was just across the lake.. But like, I got sucked under by something then I just re-appeared on land :S. So is travelling via the seas not optional D: ?

Here's a picture of my two lovely elven ladies <(n___n)>.

hunnit_percent Thank you ! That was the most thorough answer I really appreciate that. Although most of it I've figured out by now some of it is news to me. I'm actually a level 37 now with 27% of the trophies xD, I'mma fast learner :3. And about recovering my pawns, I figured that out like soon after I posted this message, and had a huge sigh of relief, lol

Glad to help!

Kurai_Miu Yes I do enjoy her. I have a traditionally comitted personality, and when I like something I like it for a very long time, lol. Since I started playing the game, I've always had the same three pawns.

Brohamond Mhm, I figured this out. However what I haven't figured out is how to enchant my own staff which is very irritating. From the sounds of it it can be done, but with practise... And if you ask me, if you're an almighty sorcerer who can make it hail comets for godsake you should be able to easily enchant your own weapons and heal yourself . Running to the healing spring to fill up on like 60 flasks all the time is a pain in the back side.

Entering my first location alone.. Where I did surprisingly well, even against a cyclopse. But I wasn't happy when I figured out going in to the place was a part of a quest which meant I had to go and start it then come all the way back, lol.

On Xbox, if you press the left analog stick while casting an affinity spell (or nearly any spell) you can change the target. I'm not sure about PS3, but it is probably similar. Just start casting affinity and try pressing buttons to see what happens.

yea it is lol
but since its a core skill so it's permanently activated as long as you use that weapon type, so... yeah

1. you usually cant do affinity spells (Fire, lightning, ice enchantments) to yourself as it is very hard. give ma lil time and ill find the link that said how to do it.

2. No horses yet, but you can have a significant other who will

3. The levitation skill, sorry to say, is completely useless unless it is used as way to reach slightly further ledges such as a double jump would be used.

4. The next best place to find armor and weapons is in post-game, without spoiling too much, Everfall. Yes i know everfall doesnt have that many places to go where you are (unless you've beaten the game). Also Madeliene, the busty women you might see dealing with Julien (The guy who wears the big black bulky looking armor and has a French Accent)

5. Im sure you've realized by now that you can always go to a riftstone to get your pawn back as well as hire 2 more pawns.

6. If you want to send someone else's pawn equipment, just hire their pawn, and equip it on them, It will notify you that whatever you equip on this pawn will be given to the pawns creator, and lost to you unless they trade it back to you.

7. The entity known as The Brine will swallow you up if you venture too far out into the water. It's really harmless, as it will only put you back on the shore of where you started entering the water. It won't kill you or anything.

Hope that helps. While i had enough AS to read your full post i could barely read the other replies so if you have already found answers to your questions by the time i post this, congrats.
actually the levitation skill might be useful to gain access to shortcuts, according to DD wiki, it is said there is a short cut from the starting village to witchwood which is only accessible when using levitation.

Awsome I'm glad your getting some use out of Sema and your girls look awsome. I hope Sema is making the game more fun with her epic AOE's and sexy demeanor

You make forgerys are the Black Cat, as he mentioned. The Black Cat is a shop in the slums version of Gran Soren. It's to the east side of the city away from the actual market zone.

Also, forgery crafting is a text option. Armor can not be forged, but items and some key items can be forged easily. After you give the item to the forger then it will take him a few ingame days to create the item.
early in game its not as useful maily on things like gold, silver, bronze idols for discounts and wyrmking ring and a few others for quests where i found it to shine the most for me has been in post game mainly when your hunting mats for star your gear cause some are a pain to get alot of " curse you evil eyeball >.<" but once you get one just duplicate tho i always forge one more than i need to keep in storage if i need it again saves you hours of headache but there are alot of nifty things to make the game easier to get what you want with little effort attached lol.
