And higher levels for trainers too. Somewhere at LV70 or even LV80 so that way we had another challenge after the E4 rematch.

NPC's in B/W mentioned that there lives a legendary in the cave so they had a perfect opportunity add it into the sequels.

    Well I finally went to Challenger's Cave. IMO it wasn't a waste, it was just that I feel like they should have put some kind of post-game Legendary at the end of it or something to make it more worth going to.

    I don't think it was a waste at all. It could have been more but to be fair you could say that about everything in every single game. It was a place to explore with items, trainers and Pokemon so it was really just like every route and cave in the Pokemon world.

There are a few TMs in the cave though in B/W, so it's not a complete waste.

Challenger's Cave was yet another example of an idea in BW just coming up short or simply being underdeveloped. I guess it's for the best that they scrapped it in BW2 if it was going to come back again, still featureless.

Good, the place was donkey balls anyway. C'mon, at least there's some sort of side quest in these post-game caves normally. I know B/W had that but the Challenger's Cave to me was just the remains of an idea they were coming up with. Didn't scrap the data from the sold games but didn't do anything with it either.
