I got this idea from the new tab interface of FF 13.0, that allows you to "pin" certain sites that you like or you think are important to you.
What I'm suggesting is a way of pinning up to a specific number of PMs (for the sake of preventing an argument, we'll say 5) because sometimes I've been warned of something through PM and I end up forgetting about it because it's right at the bottom of the PM list. The reason why it's up to a specific number is because if you pinned too much, you wouldn't be able to receive any. This would greatly decrease the chances of forgetting something sent by PM.
Any thoughts?

Instead of derailing the thread into an existing thread I'd suggest continuing any of that discussion in the proper area. [link]

Actually...I once suggested a JS-based tutorial instead of a PM. Wouldn't that be better?
Actually Dragoon kindly suggested using JS and you hijacked it as a new talking point. [link]

Castlewars. Yes and no. A JavaScript would be easier for some to follow, but it needs flash player doesn't it? Not everyone has that. And then there would be the issue of how small a file size we can make the tutorial depending on how thorough we make it. Or if we were to split it up into separate tutorials.
Whichever method were to be used, it still needs someone to make it.
Perhaps if someone made an example and showed it then it would be more likely to be implemented?
= Suggestion= Also, just wondering, is there a feature that gives a PM to newbies? Cos I don't remember ever getting a PM when joining neo telling about all the features of Neo. If there was a set of PMs sent to newbies breaking down to them the features of Neo it would be handy. If there isn't one then I'd gladly design/help design some PMs if the supers/admins were going to implement one

What's wrong with using the personal folders feature already present with your pm inbox?
Nothing much if your on a fast Internet. But a slower Internet can be annoying to have to go to a extra page before arriving at your intended destination.
I know there have been a few times when I've suggested people making a separate folder for this exact purpose but they've simply replied saying they couldn't be bothered etc
Certainly wouldn't recommend sorting out every single PM into folders xD
I've got a bunch of personal folders for different things, some of them empty xD one of them is labeled "important PMs" it basically just has any PMs to myself when I'm planning out an OP or if I've made a convo with a moderator so I can re-use it if a problem arises rather then wasting more space with a new PM or just a PM I know I'll need later on that keeps getting lost
EmberEdit:
I just remembered something. There's a feature called "Archive PM". Castlewars. It's the perfect system for you to use. Except for the lack of being able to reply back in the archive, but using the searching tool for a certain PM you could easily find the one you want with the keywords and username.

That's really not a good thing at all, if you're being warned by moderators and staff and forget so easily because it's not on your PM list then a larger problem has to be addressed as you're not actively improving on said items or paying attention to them when they arrive. There are certain things that get absolute priority on this site and should be given direct attention, warnings about conduct would be one of them.
Just saying I've never seen such a thing used as an excuse and I'd assume the reason why is because no one would entertain it.
As for the suggestion I'd say mark those topics as unread so you always have a notification bugging you to pay attention to them. Pinning items to the top seems a bit odd really, I just dont see the sticky feature we already have in the forums being that amazing for PM.

We also have a nifty mark as unread button.

I'd rather have a savebox of some sort, like email has quite often.

Do you mean "sticky-ing" PMs to the top of the PM list? If so, I think it can be useful in various situations. I personally get very few PMs, but there have been times I would have liked to have easy access to a certain PM. For people who get more PMs, I would think this would be very helpful.
I support this idea.
