So, I was wondering if anyone had seen the Hidden Hollows detailed on Serebii:

quote Serebii
The Hidden Hollows are various small areas dotted around the Unova region. These areas are small gaps between two trees and can be accessed by interacting with the tree. While they seem relatively empty, they have numerous features which make them very prominent; The can give out Pokémon with Hidden Abilities, usually Pokémon from within that area. In addition to that, you may find a standard item sitting in the middle or an item hidden for access with the Dowsing Mchn.

Typically, when you go to an area, once you've mined it for its interactable Pokémon and items, it is useless, the Hidden Hollow is different. The contents of the Hidden Hollows change and get regenerated repeatedly. The current iteration between regeneration is not yet known but it's less than a day.

The Hidden Hollows are located in the following areas:
  • Route 3
  • Route 5
  • Route 6
  • Route 7
  • Route 9
  • Route 12
  • Route 13
  • Route 18
  • Route 22
  • Route 23
  • Sangi Ranch
  • Pinwheel Forest
  • Lostlorn Forest
  • Giant Chasm
  • Abundant Shrine

So, woo, hidden abilities! In-game!

So far, these Pokémon are listed:

"Visible" items seem to be relatively common items:

Then Dowsing Machine items:

Now, mulches stick out a little to me as well, as I'm not sure you can take items to the Dream World or Entralink to grow berries. So... a way to grow them otherwise, maybe? Then again, I don't know exactly how DW and Entralink work.

So hey, discuss.

I like the idea of a Drought Vulpix. :3

Though this'll probably be post-E4, so... I probably won't use it. ;-;

I'm not overly interested with having Hidden Ability Pokemon catchable, I'll just be grabbing these as easy dex fillers. :3

Serebii updated their page, it's now quite detailed.

You can get any stone, not just Leaf Stone. xD
Though it varies between location.

There's a 40% chance for an item
40% chance for a hidden item
20% chance of a Pokémon with a hidden ability

So I guess you get one out of the three. Still sounds great!

But just Leaf Stone is amusing and thematically complementing. ;.; The odds look decent all round. More interested in items myself too so that works out nicely.

About a 6% chance to get most of the female DW pokemon that I want from each hollow...

Actually not bad considering how frequently they refresh.

Oops never mind, more like a 2% chance sigh.

I think the inclusion of Mulch means we don't have to go to the Dream World anymore and can just grow them in-game. I know I'd definitely prefer it as such for reasons of simplicity. Go the Berry Pot!

And this is a feature I like the sound of. Some interesting items and Pokemon to get, and it'll be fun to discover the Hidden Hollows.

Yes, I'm also loving the idea of Hidden Abilities in-game, as I have no Wi-Fi.

A Leaf Stone but no other types of stone? x3

Serebii is constantly updating it, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were other stones as well. I sure hope there are, anyway. x3

Sigma, you're right! D: hoennconfirmed
But seriously, what are the mulches going to do for us?
