Ok I think this needs pointed out, too many guys bearly any female character reps. My philosiphy is that every frachise in Super Smash Bros needs there own Zelda or Peach. I also must point out that Super Smash Bros series has the least playable females of any fighting game, for example look at the roster on Tekken 6 or Soul Calibur 4, there is alot of chicks on those rosters and lets not forget that Tekken back in the day only had one or two female fighters. I'm going to list a few female characters that should be each series' Zelda. Mario: Peach of course Donkey Kong: I think they should add Dixie Kong as Diddy's partner and have a Ice Climer mechanic for them. Warioware: ether Ashley or Mona,I'll take ether over none. Lengend of Zelda: Zelda, my current favorate female character in smash. Toon Zelda series: Toon Zelda since she was going to be in Brawl any way. Metroid: Samus, duh. Starfox: Krystal Pokemon: Female Pokemon Trainer Sonic: Amy Rose Golden Sun: Mia Fire Emblem: Caeda or Michaiah Earthbound: Paula, replace Lucas with her. Metal Gear Solid: Mei Ling maybe, I don't know What does Sakurai have against female characters, there is just as many female gamers that play Super Smash Bros as there is guys, bring on the Super Smash Sisters!

Although I'd rather see Micaiah put in than both of them.

When I said tag team character (Diddy and Dixie) I meant one would switch out so you could play as the other, like pokemon trainer and zelda/shiek (and UNLIKE ice climbers)

I really don't see why they would even remove the Ice Climbers tbh. It's one of those retro series characters that Sakurai added and while the games are not popular at all, the Ice Climbers character is pretty popular in the Smash Brother games.

Thank you Bluelore for making sense, the only reason I didn't metion Popo was that exact reason of him being a boy and this being a female character thread I ad no reason to mention him, but since Nana is a girl, she therefore fits in this discussion.
Actually ROB isn't a boy or a a girl, I think ROBs are genderless being robots in all, it's not like it's a andriod like Alisa from Tekken in which androids can have gender.
Etherway I think Nana will be in the next Super Smash Bros game the same way she appeared in the last two, as the Ice Climers double team.

there is an extra thread for discussing who gets out and who not,but why should they kick out diddy kong? He is the second most important character of the dk-series and the dk-series is a pretty popular series.
The 3rd party characters will be most likeley replaced by new third partys,so they won't make any place for nintendo newcomers
The only clone left is toon-link,he,lucario and rob may get axed,but even with them we'd get only 8 newcomers(+2 third parties),while every smash sequel introduced at least 13 newcomers.However I doubt that rob,who is quite iconic for nintendo,would be dropped in favour for the ice climbers who aren't iconic at all.

What clones? I think Diddy Kong will stay. Lucario might not make it, but I want him to stay. I see no reason for R.O.B to leave.
well since sakurai said he wants to make the roster not much bigger than brawls,I think it is possible that the ice climbers get kicked out
In what language does "not much bigger" mean "kick out some veterans"?
He said he wants a roster that is roughly as big as brawls,so we're probably getting ~40 characters. So can you imagine a smash bros with only 5 newcomers? I can't and I doubt,the developers could do it,so they will most likely kick some characters out. The ice climbers are one of the most unimportant characters in the smash series,as they appeared in only one game,which never got a sequel and appeared for the NES. the only thing that keeps the ice climbers in the roster is,that they have a unique playstyle
