Major game developers have been pushing out re-masters or HD upscaled versions of their games, we have blockbusters like Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Jak & Daxter, and others. These games bring us back to years ago and remind us how much time we spent playing some of these games.
As a gamer, do you think developers should continue to release HD/Re-masters? Will this keep some of the series going? Should they just stick to original content and continue to push forward?
I had a great time playing Halo Anniversary, it reminded me the great times I had while playing the original. I'm also waiting for Final Fantasy X HD, they are allowing younger gamers see what made this current generation of games and I see that as a plus, since alot of the games don't have the depth that they had 10 years ago. If anything they need to focus more in story-lines for newer games than focus on graphics and making everything look realistic.

Shadow of Death - KH I and II remake would be awesome. Being able to experience the games with todays tech and then have the third one release would be a huge step for the franchise. They have alot of titles but this could probably sell.
I'm looking forward to FFX HD (I won't get it on Vita, probably. MAAAYBE I'll get both if one save supports the other. Fat chance though). I'll be DLing Okami HD I think.
I've got a few other HD collections and they're worth it especially if you missed out on the game the first time around.
I DEFINITELY want a KH I and II HD remake though. Would be evidence of KH III (I heard that is pretty much in the works, KH III I mean).

I'm currently playing the Silent Hill HD Collection. I loved SH2 but never played any after that (I also played SH1) so SH3 is new to me. I'll still give SH2 a run through though for nostalgic purposes. I will also probably get the MGS HD Collection at some stage too.
Dunno, the Metal Gear Solid Collection was great. I'd never would have had the chance to play the MGS games.
If you didn't have a PS2, fair enough. If you have one but can't find the games used, fair enough. If you don't want a PSP just for Peace Walker and maybe like 2 other games, I don't blame you.
Maybe he had no interest back then but has it now? I had no interest in the series back during the PS2's prime but my interest has been increasing over time.
This is one reason for people to buy HD remakes instead of buying the older ones. Nowadays most people don't own the older systems and if they see something that they wanted to pay in the past and it got remade they are all over it. In this sense it allows people to play games that made up the previous generation of games and enjoy them like everyone else did.

Never had a PS2 to begin with and I couldn't be bothered playing MGS2 on the PC

Roy I love Square-Enix even though they haven't been top-notch lately but I still do. You better be damn right I would be all over an HD release of Kingdom Hearts and I would definitely buy it. Right, Sonic Flash?
I would hurl my wallet at the store with enough force to collapse it. This would probably close the store, though. I need to calm down before it gets released.
