Introducing, Kersti! We have no idea what role she plays exactly, but she is a companion to Mario. What do you guys think her role will be in the game, and where do you think she comes from?

Maybe she's the one that lets you create your own sticker? That'd be pretty cool. Or maybe she's the one that grants you the power to use the stickers in combat, because I doubt you'd just be able to use stickers without having something/someone that allows you to use them.

Turns out Kersti plays the role of "sticker fairy". What do you think this means for her character? By the title, I imagine she grants Mario the role of Paperization, which is looking to be very necessary for the plot, so I'm excited for that.

What about you guys? Just from the name, what do you think she does?

As Captain Nerditude stated, at this point I would not be surprised if Kersti played more of a role similar to Phi from Skyward Sword, more of an aid through the game rather than one of several "partners". I could see a tattle ability, but not to the extent of Goombario or Goombella where every character had their own specific trait and information. Would love to see her simply be an introductory partner, but right now that doesn't seem all that likely.

Maybe she could flip over and poke enemies with the pointy part on the top of her. Yeah, I'd like to see her in battle too. That'd be nice.

If she did end up being the Goombario/Goombella/Tippi of the game, I would want her to be able to fight against enemies with you, but judging by her appearance, it looks as if she's going to be more like Tippi if anything. I can't really find any possible way for her to be able to attack.

Based on this image, it looks to me like she may actually be a main character. In this video, Kersti does help Mario at one point with sticker moving, so she seems like she's always there. I feel the same way as Gotenks with the information theory - she could definitely do that. We need to Tattle somehow!

Kersti could be the Goombario/Goombaria/Tippi of the game where she will tell you information about the enemies possibly.

Well, if you relate Kersti to the name of the game, it kind of looks like she is one of these "stickers" that Mario is going to be using throughout the game to use its hammer and jump commands. Maybe his partners will be stickers, such as his commands?

Well anyway, from the looks of it, it doesn't really look like Kersti will play a HUGE roll in the game. As Captain Nerditude said, it seems like she will be like the brainiac/bookworm of the game, like the one that tells you where to go and guides you.

All of these new pieces of information are making me even more excited for this game. :3

I have a feeling she's going to be the "guide" in this game, kind of like Navi on Zelda and Goombella on TTYD. I swear, if I hear a single "hey" from her...
