BW and BW2 are both Gen 5 and DS games, yes, of course they are compatitable.
I still keep training on HGSS, so that's not a problem.

Well, I see the time machine as necessary only for the time gap. GSC had it to cover the three year gap from RBY (and to prevent new moves and Pokémon).

Other gens didn't really have that because they were occuring at the same time (Kanto+Hoenn and Johto+Sinnoh), and cross gen is done by transferring.

True, though doesnt platinum take place at least a few minutes before D/P? Not as big a gap as 2-3 years but the past is the past, then again we're also talking about the same universe where the deities that control time and space can be carried around in little metal balls and commanded by anyone.

are you saying that you can get the pokemon from the old games and reset there level and start from 1 with them?
Err... no. ._.

I was pointing out reasoning for a time capsule for trade between B/W and B2/W2.

Not to sound rude, but I have no idea where you got that idea from...

I would imagine it would be similar to D/P/P how new forms would just revert to the original forms, a time machine is possible thought its not really all too different from normal trading. Cant see a reason for it either considering the point was to simple prevent pokemon that weren't programed into gen1 from being brought in, which isnt a problem now.

I would like to see a system for mass transferring between current gen games, its really annoying to catch a ton of pokemon just to trade them one by one.

There should be a means to transfer them forward, like most games. Backwards might be another story.

Why might it? These games are in the same generation. There is no reason for there not to be normal trading between them.
