I'm not sure if anyone here knew this or not, but there were some confirmed locations that are going to be in the game.



I'm not sure if there has been a thread made on this already or not, but yeah, I just saw these locations on the Mario Wiki.

So what are your opinions on these? I know there aren't any screenshots on the site, but what do you think about the ideas in general?

I think some of them sound pretty cool, like the Fortress.

I'm pretty sure this is the Fortress area that was mentioned on the Mario Wiki, and since Hooktail's castle was a lot like a fortess (I guess you can say), then I think it's safe to assume that there's going to be a place similar to it.

EDIT: This made me think. In TTYD, we had Hooktail, Gloomtail and Bonetail, and in Super Paper Mario we had Fracktail. Do you think the addition of a Fortress/Dungeon area in this game could mean that this game might have another one of Hooktail's relatives?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing for this picture. At first I thought it could be the desert area, but then I saw the green in the background and it made be think twice about it.

I'm gonna do a crazy analysis of the image Shiney_Sneasel posted. Just to give my opinions and look into the past haha. Going left to right starting from the top.
  1. Alright, well this one looks like the place where Mario fought Hooktail in TTYD. Considering that was one of my favorite areas in the game, I'll be really excited if we can get somewhere else that's at least a little bit like it. Plus, Goomba thrashing. Makes life good. Seems like he's using the Power Bounce badge...or whatever the one that makes you jump a lot is. Maybe that one's Multijump.
  2. This is by far the most exciting area for me. And just for the record, it does look good in 3D. Watch the E3 trailer on your 3DS and you'll see what I mean haha. That's a fine example of using 3D for what it should be used for - depth perception and giving three dimensions to a screen.
  3. Nothing too special about this one...this is the first one that we see the Chain Chomp in though, which is great. I wish we could see it attack however - then we'd have some good confirmation. Enemies are flying out into the screen again - good little addition.
  4. We see the stage theme, which is always fun hehe. Chain Chomp makes another reappearance. This looks like that one area in Paper Mario 64...I just can't remember what the actual place is called or when you go to it. It's the one where you answer the question with Mario, Luigi or Peach though. I know that. And you fight the crazy vulture. Right after Parakarry joins maybe?
 So yeah, I'm super excited for this game. It's looking to be amazing and great. This is one thing I'm waiting for at E3 this year - very badly.

GameStop usually makes their own release dates for the games and end up being wrong. August 3rd is a Friday so that date is fake. Nintendo releases their new games on a Sunday. So it would have to be August 5th.

Yeah, me too. I pre-ordered this game along with Kingdom Hearts 3D and Pokemon Black 2, so i'm really looking forward to this summer.

Well i'm really hoping that's the release date. It said it on this paper that the guy gave me, along with all of the other release dates for 3DS games coming out this summer.

Well they're going to have to hurry it up with those graphics then, because I pre-ordered it at Gamestop, and the guy there told me that it's current release date is set for August 3rd in North America. I really hope he was right about that.
