When it comes to CoD, I've always enjoyed a realistic or semi realistic story line. BO was like smashing an alien movie with a military style feel of a game. Always why I liked the MW storylines better, but hands down CoD2's story was the best.
CoD2 was my first shooter, it will always be a huge nostalgia-wave for me, so I agree on that.
I can't be bothered doing a BO2 Zombies Survival Guide, but I am keenly interested in what they do with it.
When the story line is about zombie hordes from places like the moon to a paradise, you expect an over the top ridiculous story. There already are zombie games that have realistic stories and I think it is good that black ops zombies have a ridiculous out of nowhere like story.
If you were referring to the standard single player campaign (which this thread is not about) there are many things wrong with mw campaign and even though it was more realistic the characters and story line was more interesting than the mw series. (cod 4 is an exception mw2 story was ok very different from cod 4's mood and mw3 sorta messed it up.)
Yes, and that over the top story line is what ruins CoD in my eyes. Ever since CoD1, we've had standard military type shooters. Even in special modes like Spec Ops. I was stating an opinion that zombies, in my eyes, is what takes CoD away from any sort of realism what so ever. If Spec Ops of MW3 had the ability to have more people, I would've enjoyed it a lot more than zombies.
As for the second part, which I was slightly jabbing I admit, even though the MW games had less realism that CoD 1-3, they still had more than Black Ops provided.
Also, that moon bit on BO was pretty stupid. They should've sent you TO the moon with the helmet/suit on. Just makes that a bit ridiculous that you had to PUT on the suit when you get there. -.-

Me too.
That'll be COD4 or WAW then.

Semi realism > no realism

They could of done that anyway while on the moon. They could of somehow uncryogenically frozen sams body and kill her with Richtofen in it.
Im sorry, what?
Sam is not cryogenically frozen. She was trapped in a state between two realms of reality, this world and the aether. By doing so she gained control of the zombies. By swiching bodies with richtofen rich gained that power.
Oh...Only time will tell to see how they manage to foil Richtofen's grand scheme and how long it will take Samantha to take kindly to being in Richtofen's body.

Ahh, I see. I had a thought. Will the original characters be returning into zombies? Samantha and Richtofen switched bodies on the moon so i dont see how it could continue. Richtofen's grand plan was successfully achieved.
Well, it will be the original characters with sam in richtofens body, travelling to halt the plan of richtofen/end his reign of terror.

If I said that as a joke i'd be hammered for trolling. It sounds like something someone just made up to take the piss !
