I find the music quite good, actually. What do you think of the music?

I'll already tell you guys since im a friend of his on Youtube that it is a remixed recreation of the original. If you compare his music to what you hear during the Smash Episode when they play it that the his music sounds different in the beats and such but this is just a recreation remix but not the original mind you

From what it sounds like now, the actual beat isn't that bad. I can totally see this as a rival theme if they decide to keep it. I think they need to rely a bit less on that sort of techno-y feel and not overflow it with all the bass boosting and what not.

Overall though, it does sound really good.

Will the arrows last or are they annotations for whose turn it is?
Those were either made by the video creator or whatever the source was. It's pretty clear that the arrows aren't part of the actual game. -.-
They're from the Pokemon Smash episode which was the source for this video.

Approximation it may be, but it's probably going to end up a lot different.

Take the approximation of the wild battle music of BW1 for example. Look how different that turned out.

I doubt it's going to be all that much different, not unless Junichi Masuda changes the music before the games are released.
Take another listen to the original video (3:23 onwards)
The music in the first post is still an approximation, of course, but it'll probably end up being a pretty close one.

It's alright. I prefer other music from the past games but it definitely isn't terrible and works as a Pokemon rival battle tune.

I was going to comment on the music, but I keep getting distracted at how smooth the animation is...

Right right music. I'm kind of torn. At it's best I really like it, I love the battle themes that put a lot of emphasis on the bass, but at its worst it's pretty cluttered in areas. Though as everyone's pointing out, I'm taking this with a handful of salt.

Fake or not, this is a pretty catchy tune and I would not mind at all if they use this as the rival battle theme.
