GAME Australia went into Administration the other day, which is a fancy way of saying "a man in a business suit stepped in to run the company, as the people who own it were doing it badly". (The suit's name is Kate Warwick by the way.) Guess I shouldn't be surprised about this though, considering GAME's problems with Mass Effect 3 a couple months ago. Anyway, apparently GAME Aus decided not to actually honor D3 pre-orders because of this, meaning anybody who paid, was kind of out their money. Not really sure how that...works, but I've got no head for business.

Thankfully for those affected, Blizzard has stepped up to the plate and will honor the people who have been left out in the rain, provided those people actually follow through within the next couple weeks.

Seriously though, that this all had to happen is a bit messed up.

I sincerely hope there's a class-actin law suit against them (or if the legal system is vastly different in the UK, a law suit which allows EVERYONE effected to simultaneously sue the company at once). This is ridiculous. If this company makes a comeback in anyway, I'll be disappointed.

Also, listen to The Eternal Conflict from the Diablo 3 soundtrack. :>

I heard about this while I was waiting in line. That company will not be around. *bleep*ing up something like this is an exceptional way to never have customers again.
A lack of customers pretty much is what brought this around anyway. The speculation back from ME3's release was that they can't actually afford to buy copies (to sell) of AAA+ games from big-boy publishers like EA and Activision.

I wondered why anyone bothered with GAME, when EBGames Australia is so much better. Hell, even JB Hi-Fi would've been a better place to preorder a game.
