I just realized that I accidentally posted this in the XBox section, could a mod please move this to the PC section?

I recently installed Morrowind, and I have been very excited to play it. I've had a few issues after installing, but they've been fixed now. However; when I start the game up and get to the title screen, there is no music. I checked to see if there is a file for it, and there is. It's located at C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files\Music\Special\morrowind title.
One of the previous problems that I have encountered happens in the first part of the game where you are in the boat. The guy who is standing near you when you start is apparently one of the NPCs in the game that is voice-acted. But I can only tell what he's saying if I turn subtitles on. I have heard that characters will also say simple things like "hi" when you walk by them (I'm not sure if this is true, as I haven't seen these on the subtitles.)Is there a way to get the sound back in the game? I have re-installed multiple times, but it hasn't fixed the problem.
Any help at all is appreciated.
