Hi, just got a set of P11 turtle beaches today. Tried to get them working on my PS3 but can't get any volume in the headphones. The mike seems to be working as it shows in the talk symbol in MW3.

I only used the wires given in the box (a USB connection and a white/red splitter that goes in the back of the TV).
I was wondering if these are the only wires that I need to make them work but I read in a couple of places that you also need to use an AV cable from the PS3 to the TV. Is this true? I cant find that cable so I would like do do it without this if possible.
Thanks

Isn't Turtle beaches only for XBOX??
No. For example I think the Turtle Beach PX5's work on both PS3 and Xbox.

All you (should) need to do is plug the USB into the console and audio cable into your TV.

How exactly are they hooked up?

If you're running audio into the TV, then out to the headphones: Most TVs these days require you to set the Audio Out channel manually. So you'll need to go into your audio settings on your TV and swap them. (This will disable the speakers).

EDIT::
Alright, I Googled your model, and apparently the cables that came with it are all you need for audio. They're only Stereo headphones, so the Left/Right channels are all you're going to get.

Also, are you using HDMI?
There can sometimes be a problem passing through audio through a TV.

So try my first suggestion, and if that doesn't work, then run the audio cables (White and red) straight from the PS3 into the headphones.
Thanks, I borrowed an AV cable from a friend. I was using the HDMI but it is working now so im just going to leave it now and hope it stays like that

Well I can get them working with my ipod, so yes the speakers are turned on
Is it just the AV cable that's missing?

Have you turned them on?
