Pointstreaks

  • A neutral flag is worth 1, however an enemy flag is worth 2 flag assist capture is worth 1, a capture is worth 2
  • The Specialist Pointstreak has be modified. 2 kills now gets you 1 perk. The 4th kill gets you 2 more perks. The 6th kill gets you 3 more perks. The 8th Kill gets you 4 more perks. You do not get every perk when you reach 8 kills. Perks only become "Pro" when you have them Pro
  • RC XD will not return

This scopes main advantage is it's ability to detect enemies through most walls. Note, the scope can only be attached to primaries not including shotguns

  • A person will now bleed out if severely injured.
Perk System 2.0
  • The Perk Pro system has been upgraded
  • There is now 2 options a perk can advance to.
  • Both require different challenges to unlock
  • Once the desired Pro version is unlocked, the player can select that as their "Perk Pro".
  • Once selected, the only way to choose the other option is by entering prestige mode.
  • For example Perk slot 1 has the perk called Speed
    • Speed - Reduces the time taken to aim down the sight. Pro I - Swaps weapons faster. Pro II - Throws equipment faster
Combat Training
  • Will be returning with vast improvements.
  • Difficulty is no longer based on how long the bots take to start shooting.
  • Bots now have an advance AI system
  • Similar to the behavior seen in the MW3 Spec Ops survival
Strike Force Mode
  • This is a sandbox mode in which you execute missions in open levels.
  • At any point in time you can switch control between the men on the ground, the drones skulking around the floor, the armed quadrotors in the air or a general monitoring the entire battlefield from afar courtesy of cameras high above the site (how good would this be on the Wii U?)
  • From this latter vantage point it's possible to play the role of the puppeteer: pushing, pulling, probing, prodding, and penetrating enemy forces (perhaps not the sort of puppeteer you want entertaining your children) while reacting to dips in vital signs and covering off opposition flanking manoeuvres. It's a mode playable in so many ways thanks to the freedom to swap between attacking forces; plus, you can do this as frequently as you'd like without penalty.

Strik-Slip seems interesting. It'll be great for all the new futuristic vehicles and drones

2 more new game modes you could add Cyanide

Split Spawn ~ A game mode in which you spawn from a hellicopter, and climb down to get to the ground. The player starts with 3 lives. One player can control the chopper to let you climb down in different areas, as well as shoot from the chopper. If the chopper is destroyed, players can no longer spawn. Players compete for a central flag that takes 2x as long to capture than a regular domination flag. Either the death of all opposing players or the capturing of the flag will grant you a win. This game has 2 rounds.

Equalizer ~ A game mode in which players are switched to the enemy team upon death. Players will compete for a flag, which when owned, open up a power plant to allow the player to customize their class in game, get new weapons, and put on a juggernaut suit for their team only. When there are 2 players left on a team, they are granted with the power plant automatically, and pointstreaks up to a 5 point requirement can also be obtained. If either of the two players die, they will remain on their own team. The team with the most converts (kills) at the end will win. If tied, whoever is currently owning the power plant will win.

As long as the gameplay itself is good why do people really care that the graphics hardly improve?

Well, the screenshots make it look like it's being released on the PS2, sooooo. I never said it was big news.
I wasn't really calling you out or anything, sorry if it looked that way. My point I was getting across really is that it doesn't really look good when a game developer is bragging about what could just be a slight improvement in the game's visuals compared to it's sequel and the fans are willing to take that bit of info as 'leaked info' thats worthy of getting excited about where as if we were talking about a different game series, it would to be expected anyways and if it was news worthy, it would be because of how big the advancement they have made with it and not if they made any advancement at all.

Unless Black Ops 1 looked as good as Uncharted 2, and the tiny graphical difference from Uncharted 2 to Uncharted 3 was the same for Black Ops 2, then I would be more than pleased, but it wasn't, so Black Ops 2 better have some boot in its visuals.
When it is Call of Duty for them to boast an improvement that is impressive. The Call of Duty engine is based on the same engine that was used to build 1999's smash hit Quake III. (seen below)

The fact they have that engine looking as good as they do is absolutely incredible. The thing many people don't realise is that Activision impose strict development guidelines. Those guidelines are as follows;

- The game must run at 60FPS
- The game must be developed for as many platforms as possible.

The first guideline is very very hard to meet. It's that hard to meet that Call of Duty is pretty much the only series on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 that runs at 60FPS. Running at 60FPS adds a certain fluid motion to the game, if you've ever played another shooter and said "this doesn't feel as responsive" it's because the game is running at 30FPS, you may not be able to see the difference with your eyes but you can feel it, it's a subconscious thing. Activision like to stick to 60FPS yet it does affect the graphics a lot..

The second guideline also impacts on the visuals. When you are making a game for anything from PC to the 3DS you have to construct the art assets in a way that makes them easy to downscale, this ultimately means that at their highest quality they aren't all that high. When you combine both those constraints and couple it with an engine that this year is having it's 13th birthday, for them to tout a slight graphical improvement over previous games is mindblowing.

I mean to go from that quality of visuals in Quake III that released before Playstation 2 even existed, to graphics like this. (below)

Is quite some feat. I am sure the game will step up visually once new hardware is out, but for now on an engine Activision doesn't seem willing to change what Treyarch are doing is probably a minor miracle.
