So the last character I have unlocked was the drell vanguard believe it or not. So I thought lets try him out. He was already on level 20 as I have some vanguard classes set up after much testing on different setups I found one that really rocks.

Most people don't like vanguard as the a-typical vanguard rushes into the fray head on and dies alot these people haven't really mastered the vanguard style of play yet. Vanguards are cqc specialists but not staying in the fight until they drop.

Instead think of a vanguard as a guerilla warfare specialist, hit and run tactics ambushes these are where a vanguard shines. Here are a few tips to the way I play a vanguard well, survey your surroundings make sure no enemies can flank your position. If there are too many enemies, for instance geth lots of pyros stay away till the herd is thinned out use your gun it's your friend.

Get in get out fast, hit and run, don't just charge in first take some shots when your shields start to drop charge hit em with something hard like nova or cluster nades then retreat to cover and try flank from another location. Most people think shotguns are the way to go on vanguards in some cases they are right but if you want to take advantage of hit and run use a pistol and smg.

This will ensure low cd so you can use your biotics faster and more frequently maximizing your damage output. Don't forget your gun is your friend though you don't have to go all chuck norris all the time. Ambushes let your team bait the enemy and then while the enemy are distracted hit em hard and fast and get out.

One more thing on objective rounds be as distracting as possible. I have noticed that once the enemy know you are there they will attack vanguards most of the time act like a decoy. If your opponent is disarming objectives or hacking go look for the enemy and keep them busy. Biotic charge makes you invincible from the time you enter till the time it finishes. So make advantage of that, but I stress never stray to far from your team most of the time if you go down and are not rezzed it is because you are in no man's land.

Also don't worry about scores get into the habit of not checking the score after every round. Vanguards believe it or not are support classes and are there to help the team like adepts they are support last thing stick to a team mate or with the entire team never stray to far away. If things get too hot you can fall back and the enemy will concentrate on your team giving you time to recover and plan your next attack.

Hope this helps by the way this is not a fool proof plan to be the best vanguard around this is the way I play this class and it works for me and my team.

If anyone wants to know my specs for vanguard classes let me know I will post them up or for tips for any classes I will try to help. Thanks for reading hope it helps.

For me, it's more a matter of luck. I'm not a very good sniper, but I enjoy playing any time of character...just need to the right team to balance things out.

Most humans get bad moves apart from the sentinel which kinda sucks to be fair two adepts and two vanguards are awesome we tried this in loads of games two nights ago like I said it really is a matter of taste.

I always forget about Singularity on MP. It was key to my successes in both campaigns....but humans are boring.

Marshal, it's because Human Adept gets Singularity(mook explosion setup) and Shockwave(blanket explosion detonator) with Warp.

What about, 2 Adepts & 2 Vanguards? Is there a team more overpowered than that?
I would say Justicar, Drell Vanguard, Human Adept, and Salarian Infiltrator would be the best team, but I have yet to have the extreme luck to fall into a lobby with all of the aforementioned classes.
Why human instead over regular Asari Adept?

True that's just my opinion though most bosses can be stagger locked with a team of vanguards though but same can be said for biotics I suppose it's a matter of taste.

Also a team of organised vanguards on gold is a sight to behold and are in my honest opinion the most overpowered team to play on gold tried and tested last night. Cerberus Giant gold cleared in about 22 minutes which involved a few revives and info hack objectives.
Wouldn't a team of Adept's be the most over powered?
