Since AMD are now diversifying into manufacturing ram, when are we gonna see AMD motherboards. Indeed, it could provide an opportunity for AMD to experiment with hardware features to give it an edge over rival systems. AMD board, AMD CPU, AMD ram and an AMD GPU could form together somehow to provide benefits over a build using an ASUS mobo, AMD CPU, Nvidia card and Crucial ram, for example. Mind you, Intel produce solid states. Perhaps thats one area AMD could expand further.
I doubt using 1866mhz ram would see much of a benefit on a Phenom system, since Phenom supports 1333Mhz ram and any ram that is higher than that would be automatically downclocked.
Seems that this ram, whilst decent looking, offers little competition at the moment though, especially since rival vendors are producing ram at comparable performance at less power.
Perhaps we might also see ram control added to Catalyst/Vision Control Centre.

We examime AMD's Performance branded memory sticks designed for enthusiasts. This DDR3-1600 dual channel memory kit features timings of 8-9-8-24 at 1.65V. See how it stands against competing memory with similar performance (and price) in our latest review.
