So, I'm trying to experiment with what happens when you end certain tasks in the Task Manager, and I'm trying to run the Task Manager as an administrator. I've typed this command:

runas /user:Administrator taskmgr command

But I get a CMD Prompt window that says this:

Even after I clicked into the window, I couldn't type anything. What does this mean, and how do I get past this obstacle?

Yes as long as your on an account with admin privileges, but there are about one or two processes such as System and System Idle that it won't let you end.

If you want to mess task manager, just open task manager as normal, click the processes tab and click 'show processes from all users'. Accept the UAC prompt if it asks for it.
Will this allow me to experiment with ending certain tasks?

Unless you've actually set a password for the account, then not really since passwords are usually hidden. Administrator is a hidden account only usually shows if it has been made unhidden or if the PC is started in safe mode. Passwords for that have to be changed in the command prompt.

Is there any way of knowing what the password is? And have you experienced this problem?

Even if it doesn't show, you are actually typing the password, so you don't know if you've actually entered the password properly until you press enter and it opens task manager.

Administrator doesn't have a password set by default which means it won't work.
