I believe this Xtranciever thing had absolutely nothing to do with anything in B/W and wouldn't give chicken shit if they took it out of the game. Or if they do put it in the game make it so you could register worthy trainers in it. BUT!!!! it wouldnt be like the pokegear (wtf ever it was called) where the trainer calls you every 10 minutes to tell you he just beat up yet another lvl. 5 caterpie when I just *bleep*ing beat the POKEMON LEAGUE!!! anyway im getting off task.
So instead when ther ready to battle again theyll call you. and wont call you again. tell me if you think this is a good idea!!! o.0

I really have no idea what messed up game Whelan has been playing but rematching trainers levels up Pokemon significantly faster than while Pokemon which are really 10 levels behind.
I don't think Whelan is advocating wild pokemon as a sensible alternative. I think he is suggesting that just the pokemon league (at their re-match levels) is enough. And while this may technically be true, re-battling the same five trainers over and over again does get frightfully dull. I, for one, prefer a little variety, even if I have to battle slightly weaker trainers to get it.

I'd rather not battle old trainers because they *bleep*ing suck and it's a pointless challenge. I like what they did in B/W where after the Poke league everyone is like lvl 60+
Err, don't you remember in past games, when you rematch trainers, their Pokemon's levels are higher than they were the first time you battled them? :L
Most of the time it's by like 2 levels. ._.
The last game where there were Trainer Rematches, I think it was more than 2 levels. They seemed to be on the right track with their system. Let's go get some proof!

It's good at the end of the game when they're only a few levels less than you. I always use the VS Seeker for levelling up Pokemon to complete the dex. Beats wild battles by a mile.

But by the time they call for a rematch, they've only raised 10-15 levels, and you've raised ~25+.

This sentence makes no sense. o-o How can you not want to rebattle old trainers? It beats wild Pokemon because the levels are raised.
