So recently, 4 of my closest friends have dropped out of college because they could not handle the pressure. We are all struggling to meet up since we are all busy with jobs/college all of the time and whenever we do get to see each other, it is never together as a group.
So PokeLounge, Do you still talk to your old friends or have you moved on and met new friends? :D

I'm really lucky. I'm still best friends with a couple guys I've known since elementary school. We talk/hang out multiple times a week.

When you live in a place where you live with the same small few of people in the same town who never move and all go to the one and only school in the entire town, you don't tend to make or lose friends until you or they go to higher schooling.
As far as the internet, that's a bit of a different story... all but some of the closer friends seem to trickle through my life like running water.

About 10 of the kids from my elementary school moved on to the same high school as me. The rest all go to different schools, mostly the local public high school. I don't really talk to any of the people who don't go to my school anymore, though I guess being friends with them all on Facebook counts as more than nothing. :L
But yeah, for the most part, all the people whom I've met in the last 2 or 3 years either at my new school or wherever have been my closest friends.

I'm not friends with anyone from primary school any more, as two moved away and I just drifted apart from the third. Hopefully I'll still be friends with who I am now through college, but I expect it'll only be two, maybe four of them. I guess I'll make new friends in college, though that'll only be if they'll be willing to put in the effort I'm unable to put in.
Afterwards, I'm worried I'll lose contact with anyone. Really the only time I see my friends is at school, and if I'm able to drag them out to the cinema in half terms and holidays. So if we go our separate ways, we probably won't keep in contact.
But this is to be expected from someone like me.

Sorta both. I'm still friends with the same people a few years ago but then there are some who I don't talk to very much anymore, we just broke away into our own groups when we got to High School. (Well Intermediate but that's at high school). And I'm still making new friends and actually starting to be friends with those people again. But I usually hang out with the same group of friends. :P

I define the word friend as 'someone that I trust and would feel comfortable saying anything to'. I used to have a ton of friends, but in the years since I moved to the Bible Belt I've lost contact with them all and gained one new friend.

I don't talk to my old friends at all now. Though I don't care so much, I just care about the ones I have now. :3
