quotehttp://www.oxm.co.uk/40413/ubisoft-ww2-japan-and-egypt-are-the-three-worst-settings-for-an-assassins-creed-game/“People on the internet suggest the most boring settings,” Hutchinson mused when we asked him whether he’d considered certain hotly demanded alternatives. “The three most wanted are WWII, feudal Japan and Egypt. They’re kind of the three worst settings for an AC game.”
Hutchinson has time for India, at least. “[Assassin's Creed 3 writer Corey May] really wants to do India, ” he told us, less the square brackets. “I would too. I’d really love to do the Raj.”[/ul]
quote EricFWell I can't reveal too much without spoiling it for you, but his heritage is significant and goes beyond that of Altair and Ezio... way beyond.quote DragoonHmm, removing the animus does sound like it would take away possibly their biggest selling point. Maybe if a future setting was one that Desmond takes control of? I haven't played any game since 2, but I remember Desmond's role being more important in that one and I thought that was significant.[/div]quote EricFI honestly don't know where they are going with the series after III. The entire story has been built around the use of the animus to go to the past to fight off Templars and stop the end of the world. I can't see where they can go that's new with that idea. Of course they could do away with the Animus idea (since that seems to have got them in a lot of hot water recently lol) and just do a modern / futuristic assassin game - but then I don't know, removing the animus is more or less removing the one thing they've built the franchise around.Dragoon do you think they'll ever experiment with a future setting or would that destroy the purpose of all real settings in the past?
It's a tough one to crack, but I don't see why they can't pull it off. They've created a highly successful series that they've promised to continue after desmond, but there is no guarantee that Desmond will succeed in his mission to stop the templars.

quote EricFI'd have preferred maybe one set in China, linking back to Assassin's Creed Embers a little bit but what they've done with the American Revolution and this game is fantastic anyway. So no room for complaints from me. =PMan, World War II sounds horrific for an Assassin's Creed setting - I've no idea why that would be a suitable setting. Crossing World at War with Assassin's Creed doesn't sound like a nice idea! It's hard to think of a better or appropriate setting like the ones they've already chosen - admittedly I feel the American Revolution is their finest choice.[/div]
quote DragoonInfiltrating Nazi Germany and assassinating top nazi generals sounds pretty cool to mequote AssassinAltairTrue, but you can't really do much story-wise. While a lot of the war was polical warfare, the end result is Germany surrendering, a pretty lame end for an Assassin's Creed game. Although it would be awesome to see them tackle Hitler's death. If they decide to do WWII it should be as they're planning with ACIII, the war is there, but it's not a main focal point of the story.I disagree. Whats not to like about assassins taking down nazis? The templars fit well as the nazis. Taking over Europe, controlling and brainstorming everyone. I still think its pretty cool. But, judging by the direction AC is going, they probably won't do WW2.
