quote RablaExactly. The B/W saga has to feature B/W characters and the Unova region. Taking one of these elements out destroys the plot.[div align=center]So basically, you're saying that even if Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem were in it as major parts of the plot, and characters from BW1 and 2 returned for it, AND THE ENTIRE PLOT WAS BASED ON FOLLOWING WHAT HAPPENED AFTER BW2, it's just a R/S/E remake because it's set in Hoenn?
quote CastlewarsSo if it went to Hoenn, then they'd become something like Pokemon MagmaRuby and AquaSapphire Versions. In other words, it'll turn into a R/S/E remake, with apparently no trace of the real B/W plot.
quote d4rklegend5[size=1]Gamefreak didn't add a whole new Gen because it's not how it works. Last 2 Gens it worked like this: The first games: R/S and D/P. B/W are the first games of their Gen too. The 3rd versions: Emerald and Platinum. The remakes: FR/LG and HG/SS. They only maded sequels because they couldn't fit the whole content in 1 game and also wanted to make a twist. We probably wont be seeing sequels of older versions because there's no need. The only game in the series that needed a sequel to clear things up was B/Okay you guys are thinking way to hard, it's quite simple, Black and White 2 are new games, okay so you've got Black and White, and then a new pair of games, that gamefreak just went a different direction with, instead of adding a new region, more pokemon etc, they made a sequel to B/W so it's B/W2, I bet they'll do the same for R/B2 G/S2 R/S2 etc from now on, but what i mean by this is Grey is still entierly possible, so you'll have Black/White/Grey and Black2/White2 for now and possibly Grey2
Red/Blue/Yellow
Gold/Silver/Crystal
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
FireRed/LeafGreen
Diamond/Pearl/Platinum
HeartGold/SoulSilver
Black/White/Grey
Black2/White2
That's how I think it will go and then from here it'll possibly go like this:
Black2/White2/Grey2
MagmaRuby/AquaSapphire
Ruby2/Sapphire2/Emerald2
Gold2/Silver2/Crystal2
Red2/Blue2/Yellow2
it gives them a reason to carry on the series, I think they've realised they've added too many regions and too many pokemon so they've moved onto sequels instead so they can atleast carry on the series, so the number 2, just means it's the same region but with a different story and some extras but it is not a third verson to an existing pair.
quote Jimmy007Despite the fact that it's sooo wanted (R/S/E were my favourites, alongside HG/SS) I doubt it. There's supposed to be the tradition that the remake is always two generations on from the original. The reason why we jumped to doing sequels instead of burning us out with yet another region was because the leap from GBA to DS would be too small. And putting it on the 3DS would change the generation completely. Work on B/W1 actually started when Platinum was out and HG/SS was about to hit the stores. When it finally came out, the 3DS was still being worked on. So, basically, that's why it went to the DS.I hope notI want a R/S remake
I want a R/S remake
quote sampunas123'The game' you refer to is Black and White 1, you know, in the game where it was just 'there' and not focus. The game tells a story that there once was a powerfull dragon owned by 2 brothers. He split into 2 because the brothers couldn't share it. Kyurem was never mentioned anywhere in the game.

quote PhiThey even tell stories of how meteor fell in Giant Chasm. He's like Deoxys who's able to change it's shapes. Deoxys absorbs the power of meteorites to change while Kyurem can absorb other pokemon.Kyurem had nothing to do with Reshiram and Zekrom iirc. He just came in a meteorite and ate everything. x3
