Evolving Pokémon is relatively simple. Like in the main games, it's done based upon the level. However, this level isn't the strength level but the link level between the Bushou and their Pokémon. As such, if the Bushou has a low possible link to the Pokémon, then it will not be able to evolve all the way. Happiness and trade evolutions get mapped to the Link level with a high amount of around 50-70%
However, for item evolutions, there is an extra component. Dotted around the Ranse region, there are various shops where you can purchase the items. These are the same items as within the game. Attach the item to the Pokémon and it will evolve following the battle.
quote Bushou Evolution
Method In addition to Pokémon evolving, many of the Bushou have the ability to "evolve". This evolution causes their appearance to change and also increases the various stats of the Bushou which allow for quicker movement of the Pokémon, more Pokémon to be raised and even a different Best Link Pokémon.
To get the Bushou to evolve, you need to reach an incredibly high Link level with the Pokémon that is classified as the best Pokémon for the Bushou to be tied with. Not all of the Bushou have the ability to evolve, with it mostly being the Bushou who are gold coloured in the menus.
So, what do you guys think? I'm kinda surprised that it's based on the Link between the Bushou in the Pokemon which, in turn, makes me a bit sad that you won't be able to evolve incompatible Pokemon with your Bushou. Hopefully there are enough Bushous to let us acquire all the evolutions!

Nagato, Serebii says in order to evolve charmander it needs it's Attack at 50.
Charmander was awesome to have on the team Personally I like it's attack better then Charmeleon because it loses the range. But Charizards attack is gonna be awesome

Yesterday, one of my Warriors from Fire Nation evolved his Charmander into Charmeleon and the link was somewhere around 25%-35%. Any ideas?

Emberguard Yes, Nixtorm is one of the last 3 kingdoms to be defeated in the game, aside from Dragnor.
I managed to get Eevee at 91 by spamming the Gold Mine with it till it reached around 66% Link. After that, it was end game.

dayumreg, according to serebii, the requirements to evolve into glaceon is: Nixtorm & Attack at 91
I think Nixtorm is referring to what castle to battle in to evolve

My eevee turned into Glaceon when I made it too the last bracket of Castles. After I beat the Ice Castle in which Mistuhide is the Warlord of, Eevee evolved into Glaceon, not sure what the link % was though, I think inbetween 60-75%. Hope thats helpful

Hey I've got a question. Serebii says Yoshihiro evolves with Gurdurr at 60 percent link, but I got his Gurdurr to 60 percent link and nothing happened. I then raised the link to 100 and Yoshihiro still din't evolve. Do any other things have to be fullfilled to get Yoshihiro to evolve, like complete his special episode? BTW: I need help on getting the Warlord to evolve, not Gurdurr.

I like how they mirror the pokemon they're best partner is.
Well, maybe not this one quite as much, don't see a huge amount of empoleon besides the head spikes
This one really looks like froslass don't you think?

Some of the trainers look really overdressed. Looks a bit odd. xD The others look amazing though.

I'll get used to it. I don't think it's an awesome way of going about things - what with the incompatibility and all - but I do appreciate how this game has actual trainer design changes, unlike picking a default trainer design for multiplayer purposes like in the main series.

Hmm, I wonder how I can make my Eevee Glaceon then. How is the link between the 2 determined?
