A silly theme for a thread but hey, sometimes that can be the most fun. Way back I brought up how Deku Nuts were a largely ignored item but that in OoT 3D, with Master Quest in mind, they were a bit more recognised and at least personally used.
So my question is have you guys ever used the Deku Stick as a weapon as opposed to the usual function of lighting torches? If so, what against? Or have you perhaps done the trick with butterflies to turn them into Fairies? Did you ever think to use them beyond lighting torches?

We can't use Deku Sticks against Ganondorf anyway since they are restricted for only Young Link's use.
Ganon is another story. Since he's vulnerable to the Megaton Hammer, Biggoron's Sword, and heck even Deku Nuts, Deku Sticks would go right through his defenses no problem. That is, if Adult Link could use them without glitches.

I used the Deku Stick to attack an enemy yesterday. Used it to defeat Bigocto. It's a battle where I actually want things to go quicker...
As for the Master Sword, the true power of it is the fact it can banish evil. You can sit there smacking Ganondorf with a Deku Stick all day but he's not going anywhere, haha.

I've used the Deku Sticks now and again to kill numerous things, never anything like bosses just the things that attack you on the way. Very underrated weapon in general.
Didn't know you could turnr butterflies into fairies with them though, so thanks for the info

I've used a stick once or twice for the novelty but usually stick to my sword. Never cold get the hang of turning butterflies into fairies though.

The Master Sword isn't weak; the Deku Stick is just very underated and is more powerful than it looks.

I also find it amusing that a STICK is of the same power as the only sword that can seal Ganon away.
Makes me wonder if the Master Sword is actually quite weak...

I have too agree with you there. Its funny that no only is it that strong but they even sell them based solely on being from the deku tree.
And what, not mention of the invincible deku stick glitch?

I find it amusing that Young Link can get an item that can match the power of the Master Sword just about ten minutes into the game.
