So I got an email from Thane and saw him at the Citidal. He survived in ME2, but I couldn't recruit him. Can I get him back at some point? He was with me in endgame in ME2 and was a badass.
Thread Recap (last 10 posts from newest to oldest)
Does anyone know what triggers the email from Thane? I thought I read somewhere that he sends you a private message after you rescue the Primarch from the Turian moon... but I didn't get an email! I have been obsessively going back to the Citadel after each side quest to check Huerta Memorial Hospital, but no Thane. (He was my romantic interest in ME2, although I didn't import my old Fem Shep. Do you only get to see him if you use an imported ME2 character?)
Thane (as well as Jack) is dead in default backstory. You NEED to import to see either of them.
Thanks! At least now I know. How depressing, though!

Memento Mori
I've always had an appreciation for Thane - he's a likeable character with great depth. Going into ME3, it has been obvious we would see his end at some point - why else would so much have been made of his Kepral's Syndrome otherwise?
Anyway, despite him being unable to assist directly anymore, it was satisfying to see him get his final moment, and go out in relative glory. Those final moments in the hospital were very touching; I actually shed a tear at the prayer being for Shepard.

The first I saw/heard of Thane was when I got an e-mail where he says he's dying. Funny thing is, there was no mention of visiting him on the Citadel; he just suddenly appeared on the Normandy's memorial for fallen teammates. I never saw him nor got the chance to. The game must have glitched me, which really sucks because he's both my favorite character and my main Shepard's romantic interest.

well, i completed the whole game in pretty much one day, and did kinda rush through a lot of things... but i don't think i saw him at least.
I didn't say with all due respect just with respect. But yes more or less being civil. Got close to being booted off Neo one too many times cause people are babies and sensitive.
I know just wanted to make a ME1 reference and you were so close at saying it, so I added a few words.
Good times with Ash eh? too bad I'm a Tali man myself.
Tali is weird but cool. Haven't seen her yet though.
I have... Not what I expected and theres a few memes floating around already. She doesn't look bad but if you see the meme you know Bioware got lazy with it.
