Finally read the chapter and I'm a little confused. Quincy of impure blood (so I'm assuming all non-pure bloods) were absorbed, correct? If Uryu's mother was Katagiri then that makes him only 75%, so he wasn't a pure blood either. Similarly, Ichigo was 50% due to his mother being pure blood (well, honestly Ichigo can't be given a certain percentage for anything, since he's apparently a high percentage of everything, haha). I guess I can understand what with Ichigo not really having any form of developed Quincy abilities, but Uryu was well into his training around the time Misaki (and Katagiri) died. So even if the purge was targeting those with Quincy abilities then Uryu at least should have been swept up, right?
Also thought it was interesting that Bach decimated the impures while the shinigami (at least thought they) finished the job on the pure bloods remaining.
Edit: read it again. He hand picked those that he would absorb that had some form of impurity. Still think all of the other potential power Ichigo had, he would have been a suitable candidate for absorption. Similarly, Katagiri must have had some pretty mad skills to be chosen even though she was only a half breed, haha.

I think Bach was absorbing the abilities of Quincy with impure blood, and Masaki, although 100% Quincy, was classed as impure due to the Hollow inside her.

So, can someone explain why Ichigo's mom lost her powers? I thought the chapter said Bach was only draining half Quincies, but then Misaki lost her's as well or something?
So... we dint learn anything intresting sans Bach being the Adam of the Quincy's and that he can remove the powers of a Quincy and Uryuu defecting to the enemy lines...
I don't know, I thought it was all pretty interesting. I noticed Kubo retconned Masaki's appearance?
Also was Uryuu's mother that maid lady that followed his dad around?
The most intresting part that should been explained was, why ichigo's vizard form looks so much like the hollow that attacked his mom, not only that but why ichigo suddendly went hollow during Las noches/rescue orihime, both are related in some way to said hollow, and no one explained us just what is ichgio, before this flashback his father tells him he is not a shinigami, so he is a mixed blood? or what?.
And yeah i think he did or at least showed her face.
