I'm just saying, the Master Sword in A Link To The Past was specifically stated to have never been used again, so then there's another Master Sword in these two games, and we all know these are sequels (never mind this is the same Link as the one in A Link to the Past) to A Link To The Past by now due to the Canon Timeline. So are they or are they not related?
This has been bugging me for quite a while so I decided to debate about this with you guys.

First off, there's nothing that proves Oracle Link is the same as ALttP Link.
Secondly, it's only gotten through Farore, Oracle of Secrets. It's likely a temporary copy, since it really doesn't show up in the timeline after the Oracles and Link never had to "earn it" as in the past.

the only problem with this is that in ALTTP, the end credits specifically say that the master sword is now asleep forever. the oracle's master sword cannot be THE master sword.... remember though, the timeline at the time of the oracle games wasn't as complex as it is now. also, this game was made in partnership with capcom. there are other strangley obvious contradictions between the oracle games and ALTTP, such as the seemingly first meeting with princess zelda. if link met her in ALTTP, why does it sound like its their first meeting in the oracle games? these would lead me to assume that this is not the same link as in ALTTP, but at the same time... what im saying here is that the oracle games are messed up. they are a sequel to ALTTP, but becuase this was the first time nintendo partnered with another company to make a zelda. personally, in the case of the master sword, i think that it is simply a cameo, becuase there are five different ways of getting it. only one of them is in the lost woods in a pedestal (note: its not even the same lost woods as in ALTTP). the four other ways simply show up out of thin air. the master sword in OoX does not have all the hype that the other one does, aside from it being "legendary". it does not have the backstory. it does not have the powers to repel evil. in short my friends, the master sword in the oracle games is a CAMEO, nothing more. it holds no relevance to the timeline at all.

Also...though its never stated...but doesn't the level 2 sword in Link's Awakening also look like the Master Sword? Koholint is a dream world, so it would make sense if it was.

If anyone wants to check me on this, please look up the official timeline and let me know on my gueatbook, as that is probably the only way I'll see it.

I think it's just a case where they never really expected to reuse the sword again so could be taken as a bit of a retcon. But then there isn't a whole lot of story behind the Oracle master sword (it is, after all, just a bonus upgrade when playing a linked game) so it would be easy to suggest it is the master sword in name only.
